Historia
Set against the backdrop of China’s Cultural Revolution, a secret military project sends signals into space to establish contact with aliens. An alien civilization on the brink of destruction captures the signal and plans to invade Earth. Meanwhile, on Earth, different camps start forming, planning to either welcome the superior beings and help them take over a world seen as corrupt, or to fight against the invasion.

Absolutely brilliant but...
Revisado: 05-02-24
An absolutely brilliant and inventive story in the vein of War of The World's and Independence Day but so so much more imaginative! The subject matter, riddled with actual theoretical science similar to the studies and life work of Theoretical Physicist Michio Kaku elevates this author to a height rarely seen!

Historia
On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

A MUST READ!
Revisado: 06-22-22
Unlike any other works in the Action, spy, espionage realm, The Terminal List is one of the very best! With Carrs' real life experience as a Seal, the detail found throughout the story Iis astounding! Sure, other veterans of the special operations world have written or co authored books but Carrs' seemingly natural talent at story writing is what makes this special! Do we know WHERE the story is going & HOW it will likely end? Sure, but it's the detailed ride to the destination that makes his work a true Action adventure masterpiece! I can't recommend diving into this book & every book in the series ASAP!

Historia
Investigative journalist Matthew Cole tells the story of the most lauded unit, SEAL Team 6, revealing a troubling pattern of war crimes and the deep moral rot beneath authorized narratives. From their origins in World War II, the SEALs have trained to be specialized killers with short missions. As the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan became the endless War on Terror, their violence spiraled out of control. Code Over Country details the high-level decisions that unleashed the SEALs’ carnage and the coverups that prevented their crimes from coming to light.

Possibly biased but interesting story.
Revisado: 03-30-22
It went fast and was easy to follow. Great story but you have to wonder about its accuracy without sources cited. I gave it a great star rating but again...context.

Historia
As a senior non-commissioned officer of Delta Force, the most elite and secretive special operations unit in the US military, Command Sergeant Major Tom Satterly fought some of this country's most fearsome enemies. Tom is a legend even among other Tier One special operators. Yet the enemy that cost him three marriages, and ruined his health physically and psychologically, existed in his brain. Told through Satterly's firsthand experiences, it also weaves in the reasons for his career-long battle against the most insidious enemy of all: post-traumatic stress.

One of the best books on PTS"D"
Revisado: 03-18-22
Simply put, Tom's experience & his continued efforts to help special operations veterans (& all veterans) battle PTS us truly inspirational & his dedication to the mission is beyond commendable. The work he does to this day & I'm sure he will continue to do for the remainder of his life with his organization "The All Secure Foundation" Charity & Organization has impacted MANY lives. I was not a special forces veteran, I was an infantry grunt & R.O in the Marines but THIS book by far helped me sort out my post combat issues A LOT! Tom & his wife Jen Slattery have definitely helped me with thier organization(All Secure Foundation) & all the speaking events they do and the writing of this book immensely!
This book is invaluable for ANYONE suffering from combat PTS! The way he goes through his experiences as a top tier Warrior & how that life bled into and effected his personal life & most importantly his relationships was clearly detailed in this great read! I can't recommend it enough to ALL Veterans and to the Veterans Affairs Hospital Therapists, Psychiatrists, and Psychologists who treat us at the Veterans Hospitals! It should be required reading for both veterans and those who treat us!
Very few books have directly impacted my life...and THIS is one of them!
PS: Jen Slattery also co-wrote a book from the perspective of the people that combat veterans hurt the most (besides themselves)... thier Spouses and I highly recommend that book: "Arsenal Of Hope" as a companion to this one!
