Not my cup of tea
Revisado: 04-18-23
Not crazy about the storytelling, it drags in between action. I love character development but not this style. I’m happy I gave it a chance and finished, I’m just not the audience for this writer.

Meet expectations
Revisado: 01-06-21
I’ve always enjoy Mary Higgins Clark andI think she did well with incorporating today’s issues into the plot. It was predictable though and I was a bit disappointed in the protagonist. Just all seemed too easy for her.

All the reviews are true! this is must read for everyone. She is incredibly inspirational. Her perspective on what she has experienced, endured and overcame speaks volumes on how to grow and exceed the negativity and hate that we see everyday.

A good read/listen of a story
Revisado: 04-28-20
It’s a good story and the character development is well done. I enjoyed it and recommend it as an easy to follow book that peaks curiosity. It’s not great, but enjoyable.

Some what entertaining
Revisado: 01-30-20
I really enjoyed books 3 and 4. This one was a bit slow starting out. It felt like there were portions that were drawn out but it picked up with they were in war. I will still continue on to book 6 to see where they go in the series.

Historia
Beloved author Elizabeth Gilbert returns to fiction with a unique love story set in the New York City theater world during the 1940s. Told from the perspective of an older woman as she looks back on her youth with both pleasure and regret (but mostly pleasure), City of Girls explores themes of female sexuality and promiscuity, as well as the idiosyncrasies of true love. In 1940, nineteen-year-old Vivian Morris has just been kicked out of Vassar College, owing to her lackluster freshman-year performance.

Boring
Revisado: 01-14-20
I’m very disappointed, I know the reviews were mixed, but loved her other books. I took a chance and as a result, I will not recommend this book to any one. Nothing happens, I can relate and sympathize with the protagonist but I there is nothin interesting about her. This is a prime example of why all writers no matter how famous they are or how many best sellers they have need an editor with a backbone.

So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Fantastic storytelling
Revisado: 07-09-19
I love this book. It was beautifully told, the character development was well done and the setting and description of the marsh was easy to picture while following the story. Author did an amazing job switching between different character’ point of views. I will definitely revisit this one again the future.

In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

powerful and inspiring story for all youth
Revisado: 03-05-19
I didn’t know who Trevor Noah was before he took over the Daily Show and instantly feel in love with his comedy and demeanor. I knew he was from South Africa and didn’t have an easy life but I just never imagined it was that bad. Or least I didn’t want to. It’s very powerful story for kids and teenagers, and for me as an adult, I found myself wanting to return to my history books for review.
