always love dragons! sex scenes are graphic, but justified for depth of character bonds. complex enough to add intrigue to magic and politics. love interaction with dragons.

Personal Growth

I absolutely love following the maturation of Jason. No matter where we are on our own journeys, this ongoing story reminds us where we should be heading. Themes of empathy, power, friendship, and all aspects of love are continuously explored in a familiar, comfortable, and irreverent manner.
No doubt, I also enjoy fighting, magic, and strategies. But more than that is the team and how they support each other.
Can't wait for more! The optimistic feeling of starting 29-hour saga is only dampened when the story ends.

Slap of reality

Enjoyed every bit, and was happy to go down the rabbit hole. Anyone born before 1960 or so was shocked out of innocence that day, as much as 1/6/21, 9/11, or Pearl Harbor. It is so fascinating to hope to return and change history, but this version slapped me out of my daydream. Not a bad thing.

Where can I get a Skippy?

Maybe, someday, we can all have a best friend like Skip. Although, there are days I could use a Rosco.

Loved this whole series! Space, battles, alien politics, great character development.....just the ticket to transport me out of my own space-time reality. Just enough physics and military tactics to 'learn' me some knowledge. And, I really cared about the characters.

Can't wait for the Netflix series! I would love to play an extra crewman on the Valkeri!

Living History, well researched

characters and detailed fight scenes that included background strategy were most interesting to me. an era that is not well known, and I learned much about Europe's reaction to the eastern threat.

I love the characters, drama, magic, and especially the politics! For those put off this book because of any disparaging descriptions of the United States, forget about it. Not much to it and whatever there is is totally deserved. great book! Can't wait for the story to continue!
