Using a narrative format, Creating the Constitution details the events leading up to the writing of the US Constitution and what American leaders went through to create it. The authors describe the conflicts between the new states and the delegates each sent to the Constitutional Convention, as well as the work that was done to resolve the many issues at hand.

Before a Citizen can Vote…

It’s a shame this short lecture on the Creation of the US constitution isn’t required reading before one can Vote or Opinion on Politics and government in the Media..

It's 1920, and Christmas is coming. Major Lennox finds a body on his doorstep - why on his doorstep? Was it to do with the Countess? Was it about the ruby necklace? Lennox goes to Melrose Court, home to his uncle, Lord Melrose, to uncover the mystery. But then, the murders begin, and it snows, and it all becomes very complicated.

Great Series
Revisado: 07-08-22
Melrose Place is the first of the series and each book just gets better. Major Heathcliff Lennox is a decent every man with an insightful mind. His voice and mannerism are captured perfectly by the narrator. I have listened to all six of the narrated books in the series numerous times — as a bedtime listen. The series is an engaging respite in these chaotic and insane times…

Major Lennox as an accidental sleuth who finds purpose following the end of WWI, detecting. His dry, gentle British humor is delivered pitch perfect by the narrator. I have listened to the entire series at least Twice for each volume. Lennox’s voice is a calm and amusing oasis from life in 2022

Menuhin Dewhurst-Phillips team to rival Rogers & Hammerstein
Revisado: 03-10-22
This Manor House mystery series is set apart from its breathers by the delightfully droll Major Heathcliff Lennox written by Menuhin and delivered with perfect pitch by Dewhurst-Phillips.
Dewhurst-Phillips narration has only gotten better over the series, especially with the female voices.
This series is great fun
Thank you to both author and narrator for providing great entertainment and now that I am listening to series for second time— a good bedtime story to smooth spirit in this tumultuous time.

Historia
About the best that can be said of wealthy Maggie Baird is that inside her middle-aged body, there still beats the heart of a beautiful tart. So when her car catches fire with Maggie in it, there are five likely suspects right on the premises of her luxurious Highlands cottage. Lochdubh police constable Hamish Macbeth has to question Maggie's timid niece and four former lovers, one of whom Maggie had intended to pick for her husband. All five are equally poor - with ample motive and opportunity to monkey with Maggie's car.

A well crafted relaxing mystery set in Scotland’s Highlands One of my now favorite in the McBride series
Revisado: 01-14-22
A charming “who done it” set in beautifully described Scottish Countryside. The mystery’s tempo was perfect … Best, the clues and story produced a murder that was both a surprise, but not. Well done.
The narrator initially started a bit harsh voiced, but as he slipped into the comfort of Highland accents, his narration added to the atmosphere of a Village’s life.
