Historia
From the woman who is credited for launching what we know as the celebrity focused, “brand” driven, social media obsessed popular culture of today, comes an honest and surprising memoir that reckons with that truth, and shows that there is so much more to Paris Hilton than you might believe. This extended edition includes a bonus chapter detailing her motherhood journey.

Historia
Joy and Annie are friends and roommates whose thirty-something lives aren’t exactly what they’d imagined. To make ends meet, they decide to rent their extra bedroom to Theo, who charms Joy with his salt-and-pepper hair and adoration of their one-eyed cat. When Annie goes to live with her boyfriend, Theo and Joy settle into a comfortable domesticity. Then Theo brings home Celine, the girlfriend he’s never mentioned, who is possibly the most stunning woman Joy has ever seen. Joy resolves to do whatever it takes to hold on to him, falling deeper into a hellscape of her own making.

I have struggled my whole life regarding my mother and myself, up until 9 years ago. I found a fabulous therapist and after all the work we have done to repair my childhood lack of self and love. This book adds to the final healing of my unloving mother. I have not spoken to my mother in 6 years. I am finding myself and will continue to learn and grow. I bought this book in the physical form and audible which has been ideal. To hear Susan’s voice in my head has been a true blessing!! Thank you for writing this book! I thought I was unlovable (I still deal with those demons). “If my mother can’t love me, something must be horrible about me” this was what I grow up thinking.
This is a must read/listen!!
