its really effing good

although I could tell who the main villian was early on the how and the lengths they went to surprised me and kept me interested. I love that the female protagonist was able to grow into her kicka**edness and she realized that her billions didn't equate to happiness and she went after her happy. there was a teaser for a sequel and I am waiting with baited breath for the next story. this is the 2nd book by Ms. Score that I have listened to this week (unknowingly) and I will be checking out her other offrings.

this is a continuation... I guess. I absolutely hate the main relationship. he is an ass she is emotionally scared and never do they get into the meat of their pasts to find common ground to build a foundation for their future. the misogyny that runs rampant in the 1st 2 books is tedious to listen to as well.. However I do enjoy the rest of the story and honestly that is why I finished the book. I want to see what happens to the Williams family and the villains. will there be a redemption arc for them?

The story is slow AF. It felt like the script to a low budget porn. There is no growth nor character development. Claudia is soon weak and annoying I am surprised to be able to finish this.

here's what I like:
1. the book kept me asking questions.
2. it deals with assault with a male victim
3. SOME characters are likeable
what I don't like:
1. the story takes forever to get started
2. the dante and Erin are annoying. their whole relationship is contrived
3. their is no rising action. hell there is no action at all.
4. there is a plot (I guess) but in 3 books the only thing to get resolved is "do they sleep together or not" and even though that is a factor in the story it shouldn't be the main point.
honestly when I purchased this book I had high Hope's for this story but it focused on the wrong things. I'm seriously debating if I want to subject myself to the rest of the series to answer the questions I have, or find another book with more substance in the story.
