Enjoyable
Revisado: 05-01-23
I found the story to be enjoyable, funny and not too heavy. I didn't find myself losing interest or focus and was pulling for the characters all the way through. Unlike others, I thought the ending was ok. I can't really see any other way to end the story and it leaves it open to another book in the future. Just barely.

Historia
My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

I like it. Take THAT neigh sayers!
Revisado: 03-09-23
Authors have a certain style and a particular flavor to their writing. I find this to be true with this author as well. But, hey,... I like it. I found the character development to be good, and the characters likeable. There is significant room to expand on each of them in upcoming books as well as the story line. All and all, I found it and enjoyable listen. RCB does, as always, a great job of narration as well. I like what I like... sorry, not sorry.

The galaxy is doomed. Monkeys may be clever and too stubborn to give up, but Skippy The Idiot Who Got Played knows the harsh truth: this is a fight he can’t win. The odds are not only stacked against him, he was designed not to win this fight. Maybe he can salvage some faint memory of the civilizations that inhabit the galaxy, but those beings are doomed. Doomed. Including the Merry Band of Pirates.

Historia
At the heart of a bizarre planet lay the goal of every being that had ever lived.… Below average in height and unprepossessing in appearance, Nathan Brazil is an unassuming if cynical starship owner, carrying passengers and cargo for a living - hardly the sort of person to hold the fate of the entire universe in his hands. But when Nathan detours from his route to answer a distress call, a hidden stargate hurls him and his passengers to the Well World, the master control planet for the cosmos. Billions of years ago, a godlike race unlocked all the secrets of space and time and remade the universe according to their grand design.

I really struggled
Revisado: 10-18-22
The story had moments that I really enjoyed, but moments that frankly creeped me out completely. Performance was good though maybe a waste of the narrator's talent. I almost quit four or five times as there were too many character types, I never got really attached to any characters and while it was clear there was the back story, when it finally surfaced, I just didn't care anymore and just wanted it to end.

Historia
After the Renegade mission by the crew of the starship Flying Dutchman, the UN Expeditionary Force thought Earth was safe for hundreds of years, at least. After there was trouble on the home front and the president had to authorize a nuclear strike on an American city, UNEF decided they did need the Merry Band of Pirates again. So, the Flying Dutchman is sent out on a simple recon mission. But for the pirates, nothing is ever simple, and their mission will become Armageddon.

For the love of God, just end it.
Revisado: 03-22-22
Like the other review, basically everything that can go wrong, does. I really want to like this series and have stuck it out this far but I am done. It needs to end because the story may have "jumped the shark". The performance was wonderful and the story is good, don't get me wrong but geesh.... end it already! Not sticking around for another.

Yawn
Revisado: 01-24-22
You know those stories that you pick up and are immediately hooked into? Well this ain't it! I tried to get past chapter 7 and started over a few times but Lord help me, I could NOT pay attention. I'm not sure if it was the narrator's droning voice, pretentious accent or the story was actually just that bad, but this thing is great if you want to go straight to sleep. I just could not. I am rarely this critical. I apologize if this was offensive... just not my cup of tea. Note: I did not finish it. Quit at Chapter 7. keep that in mind.

Historia
For someone who’s been alive for two thousand years, Atticus O’Sullivan is a pretty fast runner. Good thing, because he’s being chased by not one but two goddesses of the hunt—Artemis and Diana—for messing with one of their own. Dodging their slings and arrows, Atticus, Granuaile, and his wolfhound, Oberon, are making a mad dash across modern-day Europe to seek help from a friend of the Tuatha Dé Danann. His usual magical option of shifting planes is blocked, so instead of playing hide-and-seek, the game plan is . . . run like hell.

Revisado: 12-04-21
I was suggested this series of books for the history, mythology, action and comedic relief. I have not been disappointed in any of the books thus far! the story is imaginative and rich, the narration is spot on. If dogs truly could talk, they sound exactly like Oberon. Witty, funny, full of action. I absolutely love it.
