Historia
I always knew I was different; I just didn’t realize I belonged with the characters from horror movies. It turns out my abnormally accurate intuition is a bit more than that. I’m a psychic. And a witch. And the people that raised me? Not my biological parents. I would have loved a second to absorb this information, but the night I’m told the truth I get shipped off to a school for people like me...and shifters...and vampires (because they exist in real life, too).

Jesus the contradictions every 5 minutes
Revisado: 02-13-25
Book is just “write as you go” and author repeatedly forgets she said this and that and contradicts it by saying something else. For instance, who dropped the baby off with her adoptive parents? Because is it her aunt or her bio parents? This book needs editing, BAD.

Historia
After nearly eighteen months at Basgiath War College, Violet Sorrengail knows there’s no more time for lessons. No more time for uncertainty. Because the battle has truly begun, and with enemies closing in from outside their walls and within their ranks, it’s impossible to know who to trust. Now Violet must journey beyond the failing Aretian wards to seek allies from unfamiliar lands to stand with Navarre. The trip will test every bit of her wit, luck, and strength, but she will do anything to save what she loves—her dragons, her family, her home, and him.

Wasn’t super impressed
Revisado: 01-30-25
After reading book 1 & 2, book 1 was significantly better than book 2, I honestly didn’t have high hopes for book 3 being better than book 2 because they get worse. Many authors have not mastered making books 2+ better than book 1 in each series. I think Rebecca struggles in this area. If book 1 is a 10, & book 2 is a solid 6, then book 3 is a low 4. It’s readable but not worth the hype.
If you have to choose 1 book to keep your interest for the next couple of days, I highly recommend choosing a different book.
I’d lose interest often and have to rewind to make sure I didn’t miss anything important (I didn’t, because nothing was ever important or interesting, but just to be safe) so because it couldn’t hold my interest it went from a 2 day read to a 5 day and there’s still 6 hours left. This book is a drag.
I listen to 550 hours of books every month, and this book doesn’t even rate in the top 20 books I’ve read this month just to let yall know how bad it is.
