If this book was published today, it would be derivative crap on a bad recording with weird music. The derivative/prescient elements are non perpendicular time lines as a means of looking at the most important event in an accomplished woman scientist’s life, a rape. I’m not into it enough to not bother looking up if the time line stuff was ahead of it’s time.

Fun LitRPG book with interesting Power Curve

New guy starts at level 1 and grows. Classic start. What is not classic is the world that is built around the Dungeon. The characters inside and out. The systems, the economics and society show a lot of depth and thought. It was engaging and entertaining throughout.

Doug Tisdale is a fantastic narrator. Highly recommend.

Dungeoncore with Gods and Spatial Magic

It's a Dungeoncore book, which is usually light, fun and funny, and certainly meets that. What sets it apart is the crafting of the Regions in this world and the use of Spatial Magic. Describing non-euclidean geometries and multi diminutions in a useful way is usually tough. Alston does a great job at making is clear and understandable.

Doug Tisdale is always a treat to listen to. Great Narrator.

The best combination of Economics and Fantasy

If you like Economics and Fantasy, read this book. It is quite funny, it is engaging, the fantasy has some elements that I have not see anywhere else. The narrator is so good, I now listen to books just because he narrates. If you love logic and want to see realism in fantasy, and don't love economics, this will teach you so much about economics.

The Most Military Fantasy I've Read

First, the narrator is a Brit play the part of an American from Georgia. He does a fine job, but he is quite British. You will never think he is from Georgia. I give him 5 stars, but as a former southerner, there are a few jarring moments.

Ok, the book. This is the most Military based Fantasy book I've ever read. It is quite engaging. The depth of tactics and strategy really make me rethink some of the other fantasy works I've read.
