Enjoyable, fluffy Christmas space romp! An alien who watches too many pirated Hallmark Christmas decides he needs to help his kidnapped Earthling (it’s a good story!) find his Christmas spirit! During our travels through space, which includes stops at a space mall, stranded travelers on their way to a con (hello fans of Lord Vardox), and messages from our favorite alien alliance hiding out in Las Vegas, our two main heroes find themselves quickly developing feelings. It’s just a sweet, funny, and quirky story about finding your way, even when you feel like the entire universe has failed you.

I finally gave up. I started and stopped it so many times, hoping against hope a plot would show up in the next chapter. Nope. No plot to be found. The premise is fantastic. Boring office guy finds out he lives among supernatural beings. Said beings host a wrestling event in the basement of the office building where he works. Mistaken identity. Hilarity ensues. He meets the handsome man in charge. Instant chemistry. This is where it all goes wrong. The writer just gives up on plot and story and just figures out ways to write sex scene after sex scene after sex scene…. I love a good sexy romp! It’s my favorite! I would like a bit of a story that eventually leads somewhere. Nope. Just more sex and some juvenile humor here and there. Ridiculously disappointing from this author. Michael Ferraioulo’s narration is as always spot on, but the fact that he had to spend time on this when he could have been doing another Monstrous book, or something by Alice Winters, is sad.

I just really enjoyed this series. It’s very unique and it’s fun. The various shifters are always a good time, especially our returning shifters. I’m really excited to figure out which of our alpha dragons will eventually meet with Poppyand Alaric. I’m also super interested in Vial’s. I think the author has such a fun and gifted talent for writing and I can’t wait for the next installment of our alpha dragons and who will find their meat next. The narration is spot on again. Just a really enjoyable series.

I would love to be a fly on the wall to observe TJ Klune’s writing process. It’s got to be so fascinating. This short story manages to hit all the feels. It looks to take place in the same universe as In The Lives of Puppets, where androids are created to serve humans and work without any real purpose.

Douglas has worked in the factory for nine years and 51 weeks. It’s time for him to effectively be retired. At this point, he gets one week in the world to explore before he is recycled. All around him, he sees posters with the words Reduce! Reuse! Recycle! written on them. it’s the mantra in the factory.
While in the real world, Douglas is exposed to certain sites, smells, and sounds that he’s never experienced before. In addition, he comes across a group of humans who treat him respectfully. This is where the story gets real.

TJ Klune’s ability to evoke such strong feelings for inanimate objects and creatures throughout his stories has become a powerful force in his work. I have felt love and affection for a vacuum cleaner. I have had anger towards a dragon. A pack of wolf shifters have left me breathless (and a little turned on), and I have cried over the son of Satan. This time is no different. I shouted out loud in anguish for the plight of an android.

Much of the reason the feelings are so intense comes from the narration by the incomparable Daniel Henning. His characterizations are superb and he brings the story to the next level.

I just couldn’t finish this one. I don’t know how these so-called princes can ever be redeemed. The characters are horrible and I just don’t like them at all. I’m a fan of a redemption story but these guys just give off the most yuck, elite and entitled type of characters. I’ve read in a long while.I find myself not caring if deep down the end up being good guys or themselves regretting their actions. I won’t ever know because I won’t be reading anymore of the series. This just didn’t do it for me. The narration was fine.

This was such a fun listen. The characters were delightful, from delightfully sweet to delightfully devious! Women you quickly come to love and love to hate. The men of course were secondary to the plot, but served their purpose.

Everyone knows that the best place to get all the best gossip is at the local salon, and that’s how it is in the town of Buckhead. Glow Salon owner Jenny know all the secrets of the women of Buckhead, but she’s not telling, unless she’s being questioned by the police! Even then, getting her to spill requires finesse.

All the finest women have a secret. It all comes to a delicious conclusion. Who will live to set another appointment at Glow, and who has had their last mani/pedi? It’s fun to try to figure it out! I thought I had it all tidied up in a nice hair bow, but then I didn’t! It was a fun ride!

The multiple narration gave the book exactly what it needed in that each woman had a specific voice and style! I don’t think it would have been half as fun if I’d have read it.

All in all I really enjoyed this one!

Oh Alice, I don’t know how you do it, but I love that you do! The whole gang is back in Hitman’s book 5: Leland, Jackson, Cassel, Jeremy, Henry, the Fence, guns, Blow Up Randy and Rhonda, and even Micah! There’s even a new addition that I love!!

Only Leland can go into a convenience store looking for candy, end up foiling a robbery, which then leads to gangsters, car chases complete with the car chase song, and a whole lot of shooting!

Alice weaves a tale of greed, revenge, and hijinks using humor and wit. Does it get a little bit convoluted toward the climax? Yea, it does. I had to go back and try to remember which bad guy was which a couple of times, but who cares? It was still a superb listen!!

Michael Ferraioulo’s performance was again outstanding. Alice put him through his paces with various accents, raps, a few songs, and a whole lotta Leland!! He handled it all with perfect timing and nuance. I just love everything he does!

I’m gushing, but damn it I love this series! I hope it never ends!!!

This book was such a breath of fresh air! It didn’t feel unreal, or like the characters were caricatures of drag queens or over the top family members. There was family drama, there was even a little mystery. SPOILERS AHEAD: the mother character definitely rang true for a lot of over involved, super religious, overbearing, mothers that I’ve witnessed. even the fact that the main character of James knew how his mother would react and wouldn’t stop trying once he came out of the closet. I loved Daniel and how he continued to save the day even after he was treated poorly. He’s just a good guy. Daniel and James together are a really great pair. Of course, Joel Leslie‘s narration is spot on. It always is. He’s a one click buy for me. I look forward to listening to more audiobooks by this author.

I hate leaving bad reviews so I usually don’t say anything at all. But this was just not a good book all the way around. I knew it was short and an insta-love so that part didn’t bother me. I think it was just the immaturity of all the characters. It was like a pack of middle schoolers who are living together. The. The narration was cringe worthy. The voices he used for side characters were horrible and cartoonish. He mispronounces the main character’s name, calling him Tower instead of Talon. There are repetitions of phrases. It’s just bad. I’m glad I didn’t waste a credit card n this and am only out a couple of bucks.

This was a perfect palate cleanser type of book. A little shorter and an easy listen to sandwich in between something longer with more drama and angst.

Noah and Rook met at age 12 and eventually became inseparable best friends. Of course that means Noah fell hard for his straight friend. As they grew older, Noah kept his feelings hidden and Rook never knew, yet always felt possessive of Noah.

A fake boyfriend situation presents itself. Rules are made (hence the title). Rook discovers he may not be as straight as he thinks.

All in all it’s a nice story minus a few plot holes and glaring issues (ie no college basketball player would be able to take that much time away during the season, which happens in winter). I’m just a stickler for those little things.
