Historia
Mary Mallon was a courageous, headstrong Irish immigrant woman who bravely came to America alone, fought hard to climb up from the lowest rung of the domestic service ladder, and discovered in herself an uncanny, and coveted, talent for cooking. Working in the kitchens of the upper class, she left a trail of disease in her wake, until one enterprising and ruthless "medical engineer" proposed the inconceivable notion of the "asymptomatic carrier" - and from then on Mary Mallon was a hunted woman.

Couldn't get past first few hours
Revisado: 11-09-24
I find it very upsetting that I paid for this book so it's not refundable! There was no way to know that the narrator would begin accentuating words inappropriately until I had listened for over an hour. I can't understand why Audible allows these narrators to spoil a book. Do they not listen? Who gives the pass or fail? This is the second book within a few months with an inexperienced narrator trying to sound more professional, at least I think that's what they're doing. It sounds so ridiculous and it pulls me out of the story over and over. I found it so irritating I was unable to listen and have lost my money as well. Very unhappy!

Narration changed in this 2nd book of series
Revisado: 10-01-24
I'm not sure if I'm just noticing it now but I don't remember the first book in this series being narrated like this. It's driving me crazy and I'm finding it challenging to enjoy the rest of the book. I realize the narrator hasn't changed since the first book but I don't remember her accentuating words inappropriately. It sounds forced, as though she's trying to sound more professional but unfortunately it's just very disturbing and irritating. It doesn't flow and I found it necessary to write this review before finishing the book. It's upsetting because I very much enjoyed the first book. I won't be able to listen to the third book due to this narration. I'm wondering why Audible editors would allow this type of narration??

Regina's honesty and amazing story telling make this book delightful!
Revisado: 03-30-24
I can relate to Regina and her highly sensitive way of seeing life unfold. I feel like we're kindred spirits which made listening to this book such a joyful experience. Good choice to have Regina narrate as well. It became much more personal this way. I highly recommend this book to anyone who follows Regina and her work.

Historia
In 1945 when the atomic bombs were dropped in WWII, our “protectors” and “watchers” in outer space saw that Earth was on a collision course with disaster. The prime directive of non-interference prevented them from taking any action, but then they came up with a brilliant plan to save Earth and assist her in her ascension. They couldn’t interfere from the “outside”, but maybe they could influence from the “inside”. So the call went out for volunteers to come and help. “Earth is in trouble - who wants to volunteer?”

Who chooses the narrators?!?
Revisado: 03-05-22
I would've given this book 10 stars (if possible) for the content. I know I'm not alone in feeling frustrated with these narrators. Someone is doing an extremely poor job at choosing the appropriate people to read these books! I've found the same issue in several of her other books I've listened to. Such a shame for this to happen with such amazing books. I was about to purchase my next Dolores Cannon book when I read the first few reviews. They all express great disappointment in the narrators!! I'm so upset because I was truly looking forward to more of Dolores's amazing information. Now I'm wondering if it's worth putting up with inappropriate and disturbing readers...

Narrator sometimes sounded robotic
Revisado: 01-30-21
Great story and really enjoyed it but I was aggravated by the narrator. I'm going to listen to the next book in the series because it's a different narrator and I'm enjoying the author's style of writing.

Revisado: 01-09-21
These podcasts are so entertaining and uplifting! I feel my vibration rise as soon as I begin listening. The information is a great review for me as I've listened to many of Sonia's books. I truly connect with her and her belief system. All very positive and when I listen a second time I pick up new information.

Imagine it were possible to bring the characters from a book to life. Not like when you listen to an audiobook with such enchantment that the characters seem to jump off the pages and into your bedroom...but for real. Imagine they could actually climb out of the pages and into our world. Then imagine if those characters brought their world into ours.

Historia
In the final book of the Wizard for Hire trilogy, Ozzy and his friend (and Rin’s daughter), Sigi, are in danger. They are still being hunted by Ray, the power-mad villain who will stop at nothing to find the formula to the mind-controlling discipline serum - one that Ozzy’s parents created and injected into him. Knowing the dangers that lie ahead, Rin introduces Ozzy to four more friends who also claim magical, wizard-like abilities. Again, Ozzy has no reason to believe that magic exists or that Rin’s eccentric friends can help.

Refreshingly enjoyable and well done
Revisado: 05-16-20
It was such a pleasure to listen to a story that focused on positive thinking and characters. It's all too common today to find authors who choose to write about the same negative thinking and dark personalities. I found it so refreshing and never wanted to stop listening!
I read all 3 books in this series and enjoyed each one. I'm looking forward to checking out more from this author.

Narrator ruined it for me
Revisado: 01-05-20
I barely made it through this book. I found myself getting agitated and frustrated. it seemed very drawn out and there were scenes that were illogical. I probably would've given it a better rating but the narrator just ruined it for me.
