Historia
What's a duke to do when a carefully selected bride rejects him rather than marry without love? He salvages his pride by marrying the next woman who falls into his arms. Joyous Fiona MacQuarrie bewitched the Duke of Belmore the moment she appeared from nowhere and knocked him over...literally. Joyous MacQuarrie is a Scottish witch whose powers of white magic are not always easy for her to control. When Alec's pride makes him choose to marry her, Joy turns the life of the most serious and snobbish duke in England upside down.

Bewitched, indeed!
Revisado: 04-03-16
Jill Barnett invites you to suspend your preconceptions of Regency romances, and enter a lovely new world. One in which witches live, dukes learn to love, and karma is dealt to all those persons who so richly deserve it. Thoroughly charming from start to finish.

Hawk had me at hello
Revisado: 05-20-15
Loved this story. This is the first of K M Moning's I listened to. Needlless to say, I am hooked. Strong handsome Highlander meets lady in distress. Add time travel, more than a bit of Fae mischief and voila. Light hearted fantasy abounds. As usual, Phil Gigante is great. (the southern female voice aside). I have relistened twice, and may just be ready for round three.

Historia
For Lieutenant Eve Dallas of the NYPSD, the job is a useful reminder of what she has to be grateful for this season. Hosting Roarke's big Irish family for the holiday may be challenging, but it’s a joyful improvement on her own dark childhood. Other couples aren’t as lucky as Eve and Roarke. The Reinholds, for example, are lying on the floor of their Downing Street apartment, stabbed and bludgeoned almost beyond recognition. Those who knew them are stunned - and even more heartbroken by the overwhelming evidence that they were murdered by their own son.

A Different Perspective
Revisado: 09-21-13
This is different from the usual procedural of the other In Death series. It shifts from Eve's view to the killer's view equally. Therefore the violence described seems more gruesome I suppose. The result is riveting.

Usually not critical of narration, but....
Revisado: 07-02-13
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
a wonderfully written book. Could have been one of my all-time favorite audio books. However, the narration is horrible. Hesitant, choppy, and mispronounced to the point that it is too distracting
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed the development of the characters and their relationship. The secondary characters were rich and well rounded.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Tanya S. Bartlett?
I should think anyone, including myself, could have done a better job. This is the first time I have ever been critical of a narrator. However, this narration is unforgivable.
Did In the Garden of Disgrace inspire you to do anything?
I might very well purchase other books in the series, as long as there is a different narrator.

Where Dreams Begin? With Lisa Kleypas, of course.
Revisado: 12-24-12
Would you listen to Where Dreams Begin again? Why?
I have listened to this audio book twice now. First in the car, commuting. Then at home, so I could savor each and every word.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The two protagonists are clearly and completely established. Never does Ms. Kleypas deliver an odd note in her story.
Have you listened to any of Rosalyn Landor’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Rosalyn Landor is one of my favorite narrators. The life with which she imbues her characters enhance this already great story.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Clash of the classes
Any additional comments?
Always eagerly await a Lisa Kleypas novel. Be it historical or modern, her romances never disappoint.

Ms. Quinn Does It Again
Revisado: 11-28-12
What made the experience of listening to What Happens in London the most enjoyable?
The combination of romance and humor is always a winner with me. Aided by Ms. Landor's narration, it is irresistible
What other book might you compare What Happens in London to and why?
Ten Things I Love About You may contain even more humor, but the romance is on par with this one.
What does Rosalyn Landor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Ms. Landor is one of my favorite narrators. If I am on the fence about should I or shouldn't I purchase a book, her name as narrator can and will tip the scales.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Who exactly is the man next door....and why on earth does he wear that hat?
Any additional comments?
Very enjoyable audio book. One which I shall listen to over and over again.
