Historia
Dalinar Kholin challenged the evil god Odium to a contest of champions with the future of Roshar on the line. The Knights Radiant have only ten days to prepare—and the sudden ascension of the crafty and ruthless Taravangian to take Odium’s place has thrown everything into disarray. Desperate fighting continues simultaneously worldwide—Adolin in Azir, Sigzil and Venli at the Shattered Plains, and Jasnah in Thaylenah. The former assassin, Szeth, must cleanse his homeland of Shinovar from the dark influence of the Unmade.

You lost me...
Revisado: 01-01-25
I have been a faithful listener and admirer of your work for many years. Your storytelling has always been exemplary—delivering gripping narratives without resorting to bad language or crossing the boundaries of propriety. It’s a rare and commendable brand that I’ve trusted and appreciated.
However, this latest story has left me deeply disappointed. For the first time, I find myself unable to continue reading. It’s a sad day when an author who has been so dependably consistent in their approach suddenly deviates from the very qualities that made their work so appealing.
I’m not sure I can stomach enough of this book to finish it, and that is both unexpected and profoundly saddening.

At first I held off on getting this book because of the naysayers. They may have some points, but this book is still 100% worth the listen. It made me reminisce, laugh, and look forward to more! Great job Michael!

Historia
In late March 1944, as Stalin’s forces push into Ukraine, young Emil and Adeline Martel must make a terrible decision: Do they wait for the Soviet bear’s intrusion and risk being sent to Siberia? Or do they reluctantly follow the wolves - murderous Nazi officers who have pledged to protect “pure-blood” Germans? The Martels are one of many families of German heritage whose ancestors have farmed in Ukraine for more than a century.

Historia
Would you like to be a prayerful person? You can be. If you’re anything like me, you may struggle with how to pray or to pray more effectively. This struggle explains my first reason for writing The Book on Prayer: An Invitation to an Awakening. I want to share with you what has helped me grow more prayerful. Through this book, you can see your prayer life transform from good, or even broken, to something beautiful. I want to invite you to an awakening - a healing touch of heaven for a sick world.

Easy to read
Revisado: 09-19-21
This is a wonderful book on prayer and is so digestible and easy to read. The author reads his work with the conversationally easy and comfortable voice of one familiar with the content. The sections of the book allow you to read over a period of time and still feel connected with the material.

Historia
My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me. So begins a tale told from his own point of view - a story unequaled in fantasy literature. Now in The Wise Man’s Fear, Day Two of The Kingkiller Chronicle, Kvothe takes his first steps on the path of the hero and learns how difficult life can be when a man becomes a legend in his own time.

Too much sexual activity
Revisado: 07-27-21
The first book was better, and this one declines. All his love making with multiple people, and sexual activity is ridiculous. Especially when he is captured in fairy land. I had to fast forward. The story is good and could be much better without all the erotic blah blah blah.

Historia
It is 997 CE, the end of the Dark Ages. England is facing attacks from the Welsh in the west and the Vikings in the east. Those in power bend justice according to their will, regardless of ordinary people and often in conflict with the king. Without a clear rule of law, chaos reigns. In these turbulent times, three characters find their lives intertwined.

Too graphic
Revisado: 06-07-21
I will be returning this book. I love history and this era, but honestly the crudeness with which the author graphically described all the rapes, and multiple far to plentiful sexual encounters was ridiculous. Why an author would disenfranchise a whole audience of people who do not want this garbage in a book is beyond me. I doubt I will ever be reading another of Ken Follett's books.

Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

On the right side of the law. Sort of. Sebastian Rudd is not your typical street lawyer. He works out of a customized bulletproof van, complete with Wi-Fi, a bar, a small fridge, fine leather chairs, a hidden gun compartment, and a heavily armed driver. He has no firm, no partners, no associates, and only one employee: his driver, who's also his bodyguard, law clerk, confidant, and golf caddy.

Revisado: 07-21-20
This book is so pitiful in the scope of John Grisham's other work. I can't even believe it's the same author. I wish I would not have wasted the time that I did on it. uggg... Could not finish it.
