Historia
Having just celebrated her 26th birthday in 1976 California, Dana, an African-American woman, is suddenly and inexplicably wrenched through time into antebellum Maryland. After saving a drowning White boy there, she finds herself staring into the barrel of a shotgun and is transported back to the present just in time to save her life. During numerous such time-defying episodes with the same young man, she realizes she's been given a challenge.

Clever, Captivating Time Travel Sci Fi
Revisado: 03-12-25
From beginning to end. This work did not disappoint. There was not one dull moment in the entire book. Octavia is, in my opinion, the greatest sci-fi author that ever graced this planet.

Better Understsnding
Revisado: 05-11-23
Although I do not agree or identify with every single thing in this book, I have walked away with a much better understanding of how my child is wired, and the science behind it. It has also helped me to understand myself better and provided useful tools. Definitely worth the read!

Historia
This is the classic story of a multiple-day conversation between a Southern racist politician and an eloquent and educated African-American. This story is not just about a conversation about race and the equality of all men but it also shows how disagreements can be had in a civil manner, which is important especially in this day and age.

Best History Book Ever...
Revisado: 11-24-18
I hope someone turns this book into a motion picture. Once I started the book, I couldn’t stop. It is so masterfully written, Rogers used every single type of literary tool known to man. There are so many historical figures and references in this work, I feel like I need to do further studying and research. I just had to buy the hard copy! Had I been able to read a book like this for high school American History, I would have been much more intrigued and learned more then!
