Historia
One of the 20th century's most challenging novels of ideas, The Fountainhead champions the cause of individualism through the story of a gifted young architect who defies the tyranny of conventional public opinion. The struggle for personal integrity in a world that values conformity above creativity is powerfully illustrated through three characters: Howard Roarke, a genius; Gail Wynand, a newspaper mogul and self-made millionaire; and Dominique Francon, a devastating beauty.

Classic Aun Rand, a masterpiece
Revisado: 05-26-24
though I don't subscribe to all of Rand's conclusions, I think that she did a fantastic job of thinking through from a particular set of assumptions. my disagreement stem from her assumptions, but there are very many very useful observations she's made about society that are timeless and require introspection.
I would direct the reader to a study of biblical Christianity either before or after reading this book, just as I would for Atlas shrugged, her other masterpiece.

Historia
In one of his most enlightening works, C. S. Lewis shares his ruminations on both the form and the meaning of selected psalms. In the introduction he explains, "I write for the unlearned about things in which I am unlearned myself." Consequently, he takes on a tone of thoughtful collegiality as he writes on one of the Bible's most elusive books.

Great book! So practical!
Revisado: 09-06-16
I enjoyed both the theoretical framework and the practical application of the concepts described here. It is both unapologetically Christian in basis and sound science in approach. Also, very well performed.
