Historia
Cara Black's Aimée Leduc mystery series transports listeners to the streets of Paris for dark crime stories. Working in her office, Aimée is surprised by Mireille, a Haitian immigrant who claims to be her sister. But before Aimée can learn more, Mireille disappears, leaving only a note behind. Following up on the note, Aimée soon becomes wrapped up in a sprawling international conspiracy.

I like Cara Black but I am picky...
Revisado: 01-02-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. If they were mystery people. I really love Paris and France so the ambiance is tremendous.
If you’ve listened to books by Cara Black before, how does this one compare?
This is my first.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Carine Montbertrand?
Probably.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I think I liked Rene going to the "faith healer". You really got in his skin for that moment.
Any additional comments?
I think Black over adjectives things... By that I mean that most nouns have adjectives with them and that makes it almost forced in terms of description. There was one sentence that was over the top about her getting a "cold drink" on a "zinc counter" with "wet condensation"... I don't have it exactly, but it was just too descriptive. However, that is my personal opinion and like I say, I am picky.
I will CERTAINLY be reading more or listening to more. I love CB.
