I only finished this book because the story was interesting. Narrator was disappointing. I will not buy another book narrated by him.

Disappointing

I expected more from a military author, especially a Naval one. Example - A ships Captain and her Commodore are the first to notice another ship on the horizon? The Commodore loses her flotilla and is not held accountable but instead is promoted? Hard to continue reading this one.

Too bad he brought Trump into the story

I’ve read all his books and enjoyed every one until he strayed off course on this one. I never knew Mr Connelly’s political leanings and never cared. Now he’s outed as a Never-Trumper. And why? What’s the point of bringing in your political views and alienating half(?) your audience? Write more books but leave your personal bias out.

Would you listen to Night School again? Why?
No. I don't listen to books twice. More importantly, I'm tired of the writing style. The author uses multiple, unnecessary, lengthy descriptions of minor subject items. Tell me what it is and move on, don't tell me what it is in several different adjectives.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Reacher. Always Reacher. He's the star and he's good. Too bad they used Tom Cruise in the movies. Hard to look at that tiny little guy playing 6'4" 240lbs Jack Reacher.
What about Dick Hill’s performance did you like?
I like his style.

I love Grisham, I've read every one of his books. But after 10 minutes of listening to this narrator I turned it off. Too grating. I'll buy the hard copy.
