Who should "read" this book?
Revisado: 09-13-23
This book is both a Self Help & Reference book. It is an easy “audio-read” of 50 ideas in behavioral psychology. The book is beautifully narrated. The speaker has a clear, smooth & soothing voice; it is very matched to the topic. The book’s end-to-end structure using “Definitions, Story-time, How to apply to yourself” was easy to follow. Yet, this listener was disappointed that the ideas as presented had no particular order, nor did they build upon previous ideas. The Story-time examples were too simple and many felt out of sync in today’s world. Similarly, the ideas in “How to apply this to yourself” were also very simple. There was nothing new. All this said, there is a place for this book in your library if you are a beginning student of psychology, or simply want a reference. Finally, this listener did identify with a handful of ideas that were both surprising and enlightening.
