Historia
This ambitious, electrifying work traces the harrowing journey of the famed Sarajevo Haggadah, a beautifully illuminated Hebrew manuscript created in 15th-century Spain. When it falls to Hanna Heath, an Australian rare-book expert, to conserve this priceless work, the series of tiny artifacts she discovers in its ancient binding—an insect wing fragment, wine stains, salt crystals, a white hair—only begin to unlock its deep mysteries.

Amazing history novel
Revisado: 03-23-18
This was such an interesting read. I was impressed with the storytelling of the history of this book, based on very small discoveries.
It brought me a new perspective on my own Jewish history.

Addictive read-but slightly disappointing turn
Revisado: 12-29-17
I was very into the book, especially after reading some reviews about a thrilling ending.
I found that (without giving anything away) that the twist at the very end was interesting, but the path needed to get there took a somewhat unrealistic turn. While I love sci-fi and fantasy this book isn't meant to be either, so bringing in a plot twist which is unrealistic like this, frustrated me a little bit.
Overall though, I still enjoyed the book for the most part. The performance was very good and the ending did catch me off guard (in a good way).

Voice puts me to sleep! Couldn't pay attention to the book!
Revisado: 03-05-16
I'm sure the content is very good, and very interesting, but every time I try to listen to this book, the voice takes me to another place, often one where I fall asleep. I've even tried listening to it while being active- walking or even running! While I don't fall asleep on my feet, I do zone out and start thinking about other things. I've since realized this voice actor is in many other books I want to read (ok, listen to), and I want to cry because I know the same thing will happen. (I know I should probably go old school and just read the book- but my active lifestyle and long commutes make this more challenging). Please casting agents- reserve this book only for books meant to help sleep.
