Bringing to life history for a time such as this
Revisado: 09-04-24
Connilyn, as usual brings history to life with Shield of The Mighty. I love every single one of her books and I’m a tough customer, being a biblical history buff myself. Connilyn is not only a great author but I believe she is anointed to bring these moments in biblical history to life in a way that I haven’t seen anyone else do.
Shield of The Mighty is unique among them all as it is perfect for such a time as we are in today. If you’re feeling broken, lost or overwhelmed with what is and has happened in our world lately, this is the book for you. Go on a journey full of family, love, war, adventure, heart ache and healing. Experience others who struggled similarly, and how they over came by leaning on YAHWEH, the G-d who never changes and trusting Him to be their shield.

By far one of my favorites!
Revisado: 06-08-24
I have listened to this book at least 4 times and I’m sure I will listen to it many more. This story has it all, a great story line, action, spying, intrigue, love, forgiveness and as always a focus of turning hearts to the Father.
The story of a young woman’s strength & determination through turbulent times and her anointing to stir up the people of G-d and remind them of who He is and who they are in Him, blesses me every time.

Never stop telling the deeds of G-d
Revisado: 02-29-24
Connilyn has become one of my favorite authors and I’m pretty picky. As a messianic Jew and a Bible teacher myself, I tend to be a hard sell.
But I have throughly enjoyed all of her books so far. She does a beautiful job of taking you into the places of our ancestors and telling the stories we’ve heard many times with a new perspective.
This one like her others does something different than many authors, and it may be why she is one of my favorites, she weaves the thread of previous characters you fall in love with and carries bits of them throughout the next books. While still making each book completely able to stand on its own for the readers who haven’t read her previous books.
The story itself with war, kings, arranged marriages, villains, heroes, daring escapes and a stallion tugs your heart and keeps you turning pages with excitement!
The thing that stood out to me most is the reminder to “ Tell the stories!” As a minister in these times, I am finding an amazing amount of younger people who know nothing of the stories of G-d. They like Keziah have heard half truths or nothing at all about G-d and His amazing, wonderful works. - Tell the stories and Tell them often!

Very entertaining
Revisado: 05-12-23
This was so well written and narrated that I found it difficult to stop listening. There were a few points that I felt we not biblically accurate but those points were not the main part of the story.
The fictional story was exciting, entertaining and always drew the reader back to trusting in God. Reminding us that He does have a plan and He wants us to be part of it.
