I had no idea that I could listen to this kind of book for almost three hours and turn around and listen again. I gained so much insight and a new perspective on most of the 16 topics discussed by the main characters, Paul and Paulette. What a wonderful way to share facts and develop conscious thought through listening to non-partisan, clearly understood, and enjoyable discussions. Cheers to the author!

Story and Performance are Both Outstanding

I was not sure at the beginning if this book would live up to expectations. However, I was not disappointed. Excellent narrative and performance in telling an important and "factual" story of life in America in 1968 for people of color. Thanks to the author for having the courage to "write it," and to the publisher for "publishing it". Let's keep hope alive.

Did not expect this but enjoyed the entire book

I was not sure I could listen to ours of this type of suspense and dialogue. But surprisingly, it was so well done, and the suspense was so intense that I forgot that I was listening for hours and hours and hours. Well done!
