great quick listen

Frank is a pioneer CEO and definitely a great leader down best by outcomes he achieved. this book captures his lessons in success in his own words and experience. My favorite part which happens to be the most aspiring is last part where he shares out to be what he calls an "amped up" leader yourself.

Historia
Black Faces in White Places is about "the game" - that is, the competitive world in which we all live and work. The audiobook offers 10 revolutionary strategies for playing, mastering, and changing the game for the current generation, while undertaking a wholesale redefinition of the rules for those who will follow. It is not only about shattering the old "glass ceiling" but also about examining the four dimensions of the contemporary black experience: identity, society, meritocracy, and opportunity.

Historia
What does it mean to be a human in a world that is increasingly built by and for machines? In Futureproof: 9 Rules for Humans in the Age of Automation, New York Times technology columnist Kevin Roose lays out a hopeful, pragmatic vision of how people can succeed in the machine age by making themselves irreplaceably human. He shares the secrets of people and organizations that have survived technological change, and explains how we can protect our own futures.

Great Read/Listen
Revisado: 02-05-23
My category for this book would be a must-read group help. The group targeted in need of help would be you and I as humans. We need help for we are equally the creators and the most impacted group for our advanced improvements in automation.
Author, Kevin Roose, does what I view as a great job representing the state of our society in this what is commonly referred to as the 4th industrial revolution. He succinctly details while automation brought forth in the prior three stages and current stage has and is changing our very own humanity. I found myself awestruck at his fact-based research that shows how humans as an overall race were more negatively than positively impacted by our prior progression and today bears no difference. While he does explicitly state he does not desire to be a doomist nor pessimist, but more a sub-optimist for our automation progression. He backs up this claim with the major takeaway from this book identifying 9 rules we as humans can live by to minimize the potential dangers that lie ahead.
I found myself relating to each rule. It was easy to take the definition of each rule and apply that into myself own life. Most realistic rules that had application in my life today was Rule 2 Resist Machine Drift and Rule 3 Demote Your Devices. While I could observe some overlap between rules, they are all good and make great reason for why this book is a must-read group help. Why so important? For our very own humanity may rely on this.
