Not worth the trouble

Such a senseless book. There was absolutely no plot to the story, just a silly romance about a women who's character is one of hiding her true self, and letting others bully her while she hangs around and acts all nice, until one day she up and does something so out of character that she herself is confused by it. And on it goes. I knew the ending very quickly. Just not a well thought out book.

Horrible book. Way to long, 25 hours is hard to listen through if it is a great book, such as a history book or a biography of an interesting person, but this is just a book about a silly women from England, that only can act like she is a lamb going to slaughter and she only seems to say "Sorry?"

Do not waste your time or money. This is a terrible book, the story is dull and boring. The narration is not bad, I feel for the two people who had to read this and try and make it interesting, it is the story, it is just awful. The author spends to much time on points that do not matter to the premise of the book and takes up just to much time telling it. The characters are suppose to be late 30's early 40's, but she gives them thoughts an actions of late teens early twenties. Just not a good book at all.

This book is nothing like her other books. The characters have personalities of pre teens. It is NOT worth your money or time to listen.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This book does not seem to make a point. It just make the listener feel like there is no hope for the violence to end and the people in the story seem to go in circles instead of getting right to the heart of the matter and trying to make a difference. The book ends leaving the listener wanting to to know why did they stay and still not get anything done. The author seemed to only want to write poetic verses instead of trying to write a story that showed someone who could make a difference and knew how to do so. Would not recommend this book. The author reminded me of the person Andrew, only thinking about the story, but never doing it.

It had no point

She has a wonderful voice which makes it easy to listen to

It was just drug out. It could have been shorter is length, but the author kept dragging it on.

If you like boring books, this one is for you. I have listened to some of her other books, and they have been enjoyable, but not this one. It just was very predictable, and should have only been about 4 hours long, just kept trying to add chapter to this book that was not needed.

Everything. The sounds in the background were horrible Who needs to have birds chriping when someone is reading.

To never have preformed at all.

What made the experience of listening to Crocodile on the Sandbank the most enjoyable?

Good easy book to listen too. No sex, or foul langage. Would listen to another of her books. Narrator was very good also, did the voices well and easy to listen to.
