NEW NARRATOR IS HORRIBLE

I owned the orioginal that had James Todd as the narrator and his pronunciation and voice was so much darn better. This ruined a great story. I am even more upset that i owned the original Narration from 2022 and it was auto deleted by amazon when it was rereleased in 2024. I had to buy it again but when i bought this book to relisten to it so i could start Book 2, i couldn't be more upset. I am done with this story and author. One crap decision ruined this story!!!!!!!!!!!!! The new narrator cant even get the heroines name correct. WORTHLESS!

Bradley was a great main character

until he was a flat out dumbass hypocrite talking about Cali not having enough experience, when he is 23 and lived in a loving home and traveled to ride in the rodeo. i live in kansas and lived that life. it took 10 yrs before you even came close to having life experience. she lived in every state scraping to get by and learning on the road he was on the road for like 24 months total unless I misunderstood the timeline from the earlier books. there argument about it in chapter 13 almost made me quit the series bc I couldn't belive what an idiot he sounded like i almost couldn't get behind him deserving the adoration he gets from his ladies..... but I'm glad I kept listening and I am reading the next in the series.

this was a great build up. the story is definitely anime trope but I loved how they really share the characters and the narrators were among the best. Steph was perfect, that studder and uncertainty she has was so much better than when I read the book myself. I'm a far as patreon will let me go. I can't wait for the next audible releases

Big Bad proved MC isn't Decisive

I was really disappointed in how much thinking and talking MC did suring the Tree Battle. Asterios just choked in the beginning of the big battle and was too daarn selfish trying to keep his secret. His mistakes are getting big and somehow he had no consequences. I love all the books but that really stood out.

I read the first 2 novels and I love Bruce Sentar but after listening to the amazing voice actors do their best...... And still comes off as a whinny snot that just isn't tough enough to question bandits
