Historia
During a raging sandstorm along a riverbed in the ancient lands of Saba, a powerful jinni born of smokeless fire gives birth to a half-human daughter. Bilqis does not inherit her mother's magical abilities, but the fire of her jinni blood does imbue her with other powerful gifts. As she undergoes her rites of womanhood and her insatiable sexual hunger is awakened, it becomes clear - this is the key to her "great destiny" prophesied at her birth. But it could also lead to her total undoing.

A Must for Nature Enthusiasts & Heritage Seekers
Revisado: 04-09-22
It was such an honor to learn of the old ways from an Elder who brings new & old world expertise. What a gift she has. I fell asleep often listening to her voice, but it was no trouble to simply wake up & rewind & take my time getting through. her own story is woven carefully with her research, her ancestral wisdom, & the information that science is only just waking up to & researching despite it holding true for millennia. Her mission is noble & her assertion that **climate crisis can be averted if every person plants 6 native trees each year for 6 years** is something to be shared with everyone.

Historia
Modern medical science has finally caught up to what traditional healing systems have known for centuries. Many traditional healing techniques and medicines are often assumed to be archaic, outdated, or unscientific compared to modern Western medicine. Nicole Redvers, a naturopathic physician and member of the Deninu K'ue First Nation, analyzes modern Western medical practices using evidence-informed Indigenous healing practices and traditions from around the world - from sweat lodges and fermented foods to Ayurvedic doshas and meditation.

Thorough Overview, varying amounts of detail
Revisado: 09-07-21
Beautiful encapsulation of the interconnectedness of all beings. This explanatiom could help any muggle to understand the way we weave together. The science is oddly in depth in some parts, down to discussing specific genes, but in others there may be one anecdote shared. i would love to have heard more about indigenous healing practices & traditions, because that is why I bought the book & those that were shared were so fascinating & beautiful. A delightful & illuminating read overall.
