a delightful twist of storytelling

I had been use to the thrilling nature of the prior title in the series. so the consistent elaboration and detail centering on the holiday season and decorations the house hold made was at first numerous and a bit annoying but after hearing the story in whole I understand the intent. it actually makes sense. knowing Anne Rices religious transition background I can see this work of hers reflecting that part of her heart and mind.
I have great philosophical respect for her and the courage to express that uncharted territory.
beyond this I feel the story the characters the trials and success that they all went through delightful and amazing. being a therianthrope myself and connecting to her vision of the wolf within. this version of werewolf lore and background with it's world building was a masterpiece. thank you dear Anne Rice forever rest your soul. 🙏 🪦 RIP. you have touched my heart with your spark of creation.

I can't express with words how strongly the world and characters and story connected and resonated with my emotions. werewolves have been varied widely but always seemed off until I read this story. the writing the style the voice for the audio book all were outstanding I loved every part.
