Caro writes very long prose about two powerful people from a left leaning view point. While deeply researched asking about the people affected he never seems to be able to bring to conclusion what the long term effects of the changes these men made. Example: Johnson passed education bills, and spending went up but were students bettered? Did more spending and federal government control produce better education? Caro what were the outcomes?

The future of books

If you don’t know if your male or female, think you can chose and are all for letting people have surgeries then you might like this poorly conceived book. I am insulted by pronouns and Audible should let you know in the description.

Grisham’s cash cows

Grisham is a fine writer and writes enjoyable stories some of which are typically stereotyped. You can always count on plenty of shenanigans dirty dealing and liberal politics. Perhaps he’s done more for my distaste for lawyers and questioning the police than anyone else. One of these days a genuinely good character will appear and we’ll all be shocked. 😆

Libertarian Economics?

If the authors has left out their left wing politics on climate change they would have an excellent book; however, in the extended time spent on climate change they abandoned their libertarian view for left wing socialism, big government, taxes and wealth redistribution. Perhaps if had advocated for equal distribution of conservative faculty members and the abolishment of tenure they would have accomplished more than the tax and reward policies that smack of socialism not libertarian beliefs. Skip this book and read “Misbehaving” instead.

Needing bigger and bolder stories

Author seems to need bigger and more unbelievable story lines which usually happens when ideas are lacking. Some how I felt like like this was a book mill book, just needing to fulfill a contract or make a few bucks. Combining two super heroes doesn’t always make a better story. Roby and Real arrive at just the right moments but it isn’t really believable. Balducci is a good author but somehow this one fell flat. I like the characters but put them into a more believable situation please.

Book needed better marketing

This the story of how major marketing leaders view and accomplish their work. I gave the book a lower score for a couple of reasons. First the editors should have used female voices for the female leaders. It would have made for a better listen. Second only a couple of CMO mentioned the importance of product and the value proposition of what they were marketing. I realize it’s all about channels, messaging and distribution but product quality needs to be discussed and it will ultimately determine success and failure. Book was too long to many stories of the same “I do this and this” and not much new creativity. Certainly nothing in depth about struggles, challenges or failures.
