Someone did a find/replace on words
Revisado: 03-24-25
Someone did a global find/replace on several words like expertise for experience and it makes no sense unless you mentally substitute the right word in. United Nations Agency was substituted for something, but I have no idea what. Did AI do the reading because the narrator doesn't even balk at the nonsensical word substitutions?

Historia
Are you too nice? If you find it hard to be assertive, directly ask for what you want, or say "no" to others, then you just might be suffering from too much niceness. In this controversial book, world-renowned confidence expert, Dr. Aziz Gazipura, takes an incisive look at the concept of nice. Through his typical style, Dr. Aziz uses engaging stories, humor, and disarming vulnerability to cut through the nice conditioning and liberate the most bold, expressive, authentic version of you.

A very male perspective
Revisado: 01-17-25
Unfortunately this book gives advice that won't work well for many women. It could even get them hurt. While I would love to be in a world where I could do the things advised, that is not this one.

Historia
In this “vital, necessary, and beautiful book” (Michael Eric Dyson), antiracist educator Robin DiAngelo deftly illuminates the phenomenon of white fragility and “allows us to understand racism as a practice not restricted to 'bad people'" (Claudia Rankine). Referring to the defensive moves white people make when challenged racially, white fragility is characterized by emotions such as anger, fear, and guilt and by behaviors including argumentation and silence. These behaviors, in turn, function to reinstate white racial equilibrium and prevent meaningful cross-racial dialogue.

Important for people who want to be allies
Revisado: 06-22-20
This article will help people that sincerely don't understand how white people benefit from systemic racism and helps to understand what individuals do to perpetuate systemic racism. Ignoring the issue, being colorblind, and other unhelpful ideas are uprooted here and turned on their heads.
