Cliché and shallow

Undeveloped characters. Zero plot. Over the top clichés. Eye roll headache inducing. Female narrator sounded like a mom and the male narrator sounded bored (understandable with the dribble he had to read.)

Kind of a let down :(

Taking turns confused me at first but then I got it and I loved it. Turning Back was simply amazing. So heartfelt...and I guess that is the difference. His Turn is about a mind game. Not one of the heart. Neither Brick nor Nadia ever let their walls down. Their excuses for their narcissism were weak. Why was Jordan even in this book? I feel like Ms Huss doesn’t even know.
So many issues were missing.and not fleshed out. I can’t leave a decent trilogy unfinished but be warned, this book is weak.

Quinn is a character that will stick w me

I read non-traditional books because I love getting to understand why characters do what they do. So far this series is delivering. I have to say Chapter 10 in Turning Back could be my all time favorite chapter ever. I am certain it has everything to do with Tad Branson who narrates Quinn. I simply think no one else could do Quinn justice. (Hate me, but Sebastian York’s cadence is the same for every character and scene.) Tad Branson brought Quinn to life! I love Rachelles story and I felt bad for Brick. I hope Brick gets just as good of a story in the next book.

I may have a new favorite!

Although there were parts in this book where I was a bit confused I totally didn’t mind as much as I would have had the story been inferior. I LOVE THIS BOOK! I laughed...out loud... in public! I cried at times too. It’s been forever since I have enjoyed a book this much! I didn’t want it to end!
Fran Jules does such an amazing job with each character! She’s by far my favorite female narrator. Special props for narrating and not laughing out loud while doing so.
Ms. Mathewson creates characters that came to life through humor and imagination instead of arrogant angst and overdone wealth. Such a breath of fresh air!

The story line felt rushed with no real relationship building emotionally. Could have been a great book if the author fleshed out the characters more. And I hated the ending. Terrible ending.

Couldn’t finish.

The narrator, Jillian Macie is so nasal I can’t stand it. Although I never got to hear the male voice I agree with the character Thor that droning on about this useless over priced sh*t has gone on way too long.

A bit contrived and wordy at times but....

Still a good read. Jennifer Grace makes the books! Her characterization is tremendous! Although Sebastian York has a nice deep voice, he reads the same in every book. So it was jarring to hear him characterize Quinn so differently than Jennifer.
At first I thought the idea of contriving issues to solve was silly. Luckily, some came naturally. Not the best book, but not a waste of time either.

Super Fun!

Fast, witty, sharp and funny! Lots of cliches that work and make you laugh out loud. I’ve read a review by a reader who was insulted by the entire book because Tinaca didn’t speak like the educated person she was created to be. But that reader missed the point. Tinaca Jones isn’t only a person (character) she’s a brand. If you need a fast paced short listen this is a fun story. I really enjoy Retta in other works but there times her performance fell a bit flat. I kept thinking Queen Latiffa would have been an excellent reader. But, while you can’t have everything, you can still enjoy this book.

Narrator ruined it!

Maybe I could have suffered through the sophomoric dialogue but when the narrator sounded like she was still in HS and made 30 year old women sound like they were bimbos I couldn’t finish. So disappointed
