Life Changing for all Christians

When I was at Liberty Baptist College (Liberty University) in the early 80's I enjoyed the opportunity to study under a great OT scholar Dr. Ed Hinson. Ever since then I have been trying to find an OT scholar I could learn from, now I have found him. Dr Michael S. Heiser is a true blessing! His teaching in this book and his podcast (The Naked Bible) have changed my life. The whole of Scripture and more so, the Old Testament finally makes more sense. We must not write off the OT as being not applicable for us today, on the contrary, all true study of Scripture must start there. We must take ourselves back to the world and culture of the OT, the Second Temple period and the time of Christ in order to truly understand the context and message of the authors.

Insight into Myths I never thought about!

Dr. Markos was introduced to me while listening to an episode of The Naked Bible Podcast. I am so glad I bought this audio book! I have purchased two other books by Dr Markos now.
Thinking about how general revelation and the human conscience and yearning for "Truth" as found in both Greek and Roman Myths had never dawned on me. I have found a whole new way to think about The Classics and how God brought to us all, the real Truth!!
A must read for anyone!!
