Beauty in tragedy
Revisado: 11-02-24
Thoughtful and surprising. I really didn’t know what to expect. Each chapter took me completely by surprise. The ending broke my heart, but with the promise of flood and fire in all of our futures, the book had no other choice.

Whispers of Regret all through the book, when really there are none.
Revisado: 05-08-24
A sleepy book that is a great read before bed. Once I finished I was so moved by the sweetness of giving in and allowing happiness rather than others expectations. Still wiping away happy tears. Meryl Streep is so even and measured. She is a perfect narrator for this book.

The monotone narrator
Revisado: 04-19-24
I always find it sad when a book with potential is destroyed by a narrator. Spend a little money and find a quality narrator for all that hard work the author put in to the story. I couldn’t get past the first few chapters.

Simple. Heard it all before
Revisado: 10-25-19
This book is basic, but with less flair flair than a basic murder mystery. The narrator has potential, but over all she’s a reader, not a performer… the story is ridiculous. A junior detective taking over a senior on a murder case. This book is juvenile with wishful thinking. How does this get past an editor!? Blah at best
