Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

Unexpectedly charming and sweet
Revisado: 01-20-24
The story was sweet and unpredictable. I listened to it with my daughter on a cross country drive and we had a hard time stopping the book every time we needed gas! The performance was fabulous and really sold the story! Highly recommend!

What I needed here and now
Revisado: 12-13-22
This was a book that hit very hard for me as I have just found my ikigai, but my partner has not and getting the validation I needed for my personal journey through this life.
It was concise and very easy to listen to. I replayed so many sections that I ended up buying the hardback and as I listened to it a second time, I highlighted and made notes in the book.

Fantastic!
Revisado: 12-02-21
There were so many relatable concepts and ideas to build upon in my own thought process already. The format was great, a main story/idea (concept) of each chapter and then broken down into more manageable lessons and take away I formation. Definitely worth a second read when you need to reset yourself and be reminded of bigger picture! Thank you!
