Great story, well told. Loved the narrator and this author never disappoints. Will definitely read the next.

There was an effective surprise twist at the end of this story, but I didn’t feel it was supported by the events and behaviors leading up to the end. With some judicious editing, this could have been a great story.

I've enjoyed Brunonia Barry's other work a great deal and this story had some fascinating background information on Salem and modern day Wiccans. Unfortunately, the narration sounded like an inexperienced kindergarten teacher reading a story with unmodulated over emphasis on every word and though I finished the book I couldn't handle another book with the same narrator. Just yesterday I was in a friend's car and asked what she was listening to. She said, "Woman in the Window" but she hated the narrator. Turns out, it's the same woman.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely. Loved the insider view of architecture, architects and their world.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Absolutely, I never put it down.

Which character – as performed by Lisa Flanagan – was your favorite?

Iris Reid, the main character.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The chase scene in Mt. Auburn Cemetery when Iris must harness all her courage to escape the killer.

Any additional comments?

Loved the way the author brings the setting of Cambridge, Massachusetts to life as a character in the book. Also loved the insider peek at the competitive world of Harvard trained architects
