Historia
Becoming a CEO is a high-stakes moment, whether it's your first, second, or third time in the seat. What you say and how you act in your early days as CEO sets the tone for how you'll be perceived for years to come. Yet, until now, few CEOs have shared their stories on what worked, what didn't, and what they wish they'd done differently. In The New CEO, Dr. Ty Wiggins, an experienced leadership advisor specializing in CEO transitions, explains how to land well as a new CEO, accelerate your impact, and unlock the most affirming experience of your career.

Just listen and be receptive to new ideas
Revisado: 02-20-16
I was skeptical about reading this book because of the negative reviews. I am 60 and received life changing ideas. The audible version is very good. It's not so much about traveling the world as it is about accepting responsibility for our lives in a positive way.

Historia
Applying cutting-edge research in the field of positive psychology - the scientific principles taught in his wildly popular course at Harvard University - Ben-Shahar takes us off the impossible pursuit of perfection and directs us to the way to happiness, richness, and true fulfillment. He shows us the freedom derived from not trying to do it all right all the time and the real lessons that failure and painful emotions can teach us.

Worthwhile but tedious
Revisado: 09-27-09
Not exactly a spellbinder. Not that you would expect that from a book of this type. Main thesis is that there are perfectionists and optimalists. Perfectionists are never satisfied with themselves or anyone else. Optimalists accept reality and make the best of what they have. They can live with "good enough" and always look at the glass as half full. I'm glad I listened to the audio version because I would never have gotten through the book. Too many quotes and citations, does this author have any original ideas? This book was neither perfect nor optimal. I suggest looking at other self enhancement titles.
