This whole book was great! I loved learning about all the characters beyond the veil and how they had influence throughout the series BUT chapter 21 is GOLD 😂 Jake and Bridget, as always, were masterful at bringing the heart and characters of the book to life 🖤

The performance as always was fantastic! Shit stayed hitting the fan with this one but I couldn’t get enough of it. The character development for the bonded groups were so well done. I’m sad it’s over but I’m happy that Ollie finally has peace, stability and love :)

Heart, meet Dagger.

Just when you think everything is on a path to HEA, you get slapped in the face with tragedy and pain.

This one hit me in the feels. The last 15-20 minutes absolutely had me on edge with no idea how it was going to go. SPOILERS AHEAD!






WE REALLY COULDN’T LET NOX DEVELOP ANY FURTHER?! REALLY?! Like what is this going to do to the Bonded Group?! What does this MEAN! Someone is pulling an SJM and taking away characters before we are ready! The story was obviously fabulous but I was not ready for the end and the twists. The complexity of their gifts and the changes in their powers was so cool to see, definitely keeps away and stagnation.

Off I go to listen to the next one and drown in the sorrows that is this damn bonded group.

Cliffhanger City

First of all, Lionel better get the most gruesome, horrible, gory, and deserving end. I am so sick of him!

THE TWINS?! Of all the shit they’ve been through, we are just going to trap them?! Like really trap them!?

The story as always put me through it, the rollercoaster of emotion I felt every step of the way threatened to give me whiplash.

Seth was by far the greatest gift of comic relief and golden retriever energy I needed to get me through all of the bad stuff going on around my favorite characters.

Geraldine was a damn star and truly deserves her own spin-off!

I really really really want to reach in the book and strangle Lionel with my bare hands, and Lavinia…

I cannot wait for the last installment of this book, I NEED my favorite people to get their HEA or my entire life is a lie

Twists and turns abundant!

This story threw me for all kinds of loops! When I thought I had it all figured out, it was so much more complex and sad than I imagined. The bouncing back and forth from the past and present was so smooth and concise. The style of writing was beautiful and the epilogue ripped my heart out.

WHERE. IS. JACKS.

STEPHANIEEEEEEEEE. Just when I thought I had it all figured out and headed in the right direction, you flip the script and rip my soul out. OBVIOUSLY, the characters and world building were absolutely stunning as per usual. HOWEVER, I am left with so many questions and heartache 😭 I NEED a HEA for Jacks and a not so HEA for Apollo!

Jacks jacks jacks. COME ON MAN. I have so many questions, hopes and desires for this series! This books was beautiful, dark, and twisty. As with the Caraval Series, the world building and character descriptions were breath taking. I cannot get enough of these characters and hope to see more of my favorites in future stories and PLEASE can Jacks get his HEA 😭

Simply Magical

This is the ending I didn’t know I needed but one I am so happy to have. This entire series put me through it. I could feel my heart strings being ripped out one by one throughout. The world building, characters and storyline was the best form of escapism. The author has a wonderful way of painting a world where you wish you could fall into. The twists and turns are never ending, just when you think you’re on the right track, everything shifts. This is definitely one of those series that I wish never ended.
