Historia
Until now there has not been a serious study of the rifle-armed regiments of the British Army that earned such renown in the Peninsular and Waterloo campaigns. Compiled by a former rifleman, Ray Cusick, who has written extensively on the subject, Wellington's Rifles examines the new rifle regiments, how they came about, their development and their actions.

Outstanding work!!!!

Outstanding work! Particularly the story of the development of light infantry skirmishers before the Peninsular campaign. The light infantry changed the nature of linear battle in the second half of the gunpowder age.

Historia
Team Yankee, the New York Times best-seller by Harold Coyle, presents a glimpse of what it would have been like for the soldiers who would have had to meet the relentless onslaught of Soviet and Warsaw Pact divisions. Using the geo-political and military scenarios described by General Sir John Hackett, former NORTHAG commander and author of World War Three; August 1985, Team Yankee follows the war as seen from the turret of Captain Sean Bannon's tank.

Good story ruined by production ineptitude.

Smashing good yarn
Revisado: 01-22-21
Great story, based on General Sir John Hackett's breakthrough novel. I enjoyed reading it in the 80's. It is obvious from the start however, that the narrator does not know US Army jargon when he sees it in print. i.e. his pronunciation of call-signs and bumper numbers, he says 'sixty-six instead of six-six. He pronounces terms like S 0 P (standard operating procedure) as a word 'Sop'. He pronounced H E (high explosive) as 'He'. That was aggravating as hell to this old soldier.
