Not these boys. Yet that doesn't mean they don't have skills. And courage - which they will need every ounce of to do battle at sea against the other bands, the Wolves and the Sharks, in the ultimate race. The icy waters make for a treacherous playing field - especially when not everyone thinks of it as playing.

Standard upper elementary adventure marred by glaring pronunciation issue

Not my cup of tea but tolerable and keeps the boys entertained on long drives. Writing the review to point out that the otherwise good narrator consistently pronounces ‘jarl’ with the j as in jail when even the Flanagan wikia gives the Scandinavian pronunciation of ‘yarl’. Grates on my ears every time I hear it.
Nothing offensive or inappropriate for a ten year old.

I can't get over how blatant the encouragement to get the government to force people to buy your product as a business strategy is in this book. Haven't finished not sure if I will.
