Misogyny
Revisado: 01-25-22
My skin crawled every time the protagonist husband said something condescending… Which was throughout the entire book. Lol, I checked the release date, assuming it had been written in the 1920s

Historia
The My Fair Lady story gets a thoroughly modern, thoroughly invigorating update in this unsparing (and hilarious) look at America’s capitalist tech culture. Eli is a tough young woman who makes paper flowers on Venice Beach, where she lives in a homeless tent camp. A chance encounter with a smug tech CEO, Hig, sparks an intriguing quid pro quo: she brings him an image-burnishing entrepreneurial offer, and he, in turn, hires her to present GAL - his new artificial intelligence service - at an upcoming conference.

Revisado: 11-20-21
This story offers so many insights into what it means to be a woman today. I cried at the recognition of such truths and gained a deeper understanding of how I to move into a different socioeconomic strata while maintaining compassion and a sense of identification with all of most of us who are financially and existentially struggling every day. #TeamHuman #WomenDeserveSuccess

“It’s Never Our Fault”
Revisado: 11-19-21
Wow, I absolutely loved this short story. I never read reviews, but this turned into surprisingly wonderful listen for me. That one line at the end… It’s never our fault… I think she’s talking about women. It casts light and perspective onThe stereotype/sometimes truths of Indian parents, particularly mothers, being so strict with their children. It’s definitely worth your time.

Historia
Every hero works to soothe the fears of the people during their period in history. Heroes are not only brave, but they’re also able to navigate the convoluted corridors of society, and to see through the respectable pretense of others to detect the evil that lies within. So, who better to take on the foggy, crime-ridden streets and strict social mores of Victorian London than the iconic literary detective Sherlock Holmes? In Sherlock Holmes: Beyond the Elementary, you’ll investigate the history behind Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s whip-smart, charismatic detective.

More a Book, Less a Class

I love the structure of this course, and the author’s voice fits perfectly. His descriptions are juicy. 🧃
