Historia
Locked In is a revelatory investigation into the root causes of mass incarceration by one of the most exciting scholars in the country. Having spent 15 years studying the data on imprisonment, John Pfaff takes apart the reigning consensus created by Michelle Alexander and other reformers, revealing that the most widely accepted explanations - the failed War on Drugs, draconian sentencing laws, an increasing reliance on private prisons - tell us much less than we think.

Historia
The leafy Avenue de Foch, one of the most exclusive residential streets in Nazi-occupied France, was Paris' hotbed of daring spies, murderous secret police, amoral informers, and Vichy collaborators. So when American physician Sumner Jackson, who lived with his wife and young son, Phillip, at Number 11, found himself drawn into the Liberation network of the French resistance, he knew the stakes were impossibly high.

Horrible Audio But Good Info
Revisado: 04-14-15
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I liked the information but the audio was horrible. The narrator's voice was ok but it felt like it was recorded in the guy's basement or underwater.
Would you recommend Against Our Better Judgment to your friends? Why or why not?
Maybe read it but not listening to it
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The recording of this audio book was horrible. The narrator was ok.
Do you think Against Our Better Judgment needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
No.

Upper- and working-class men and boys are thrown together into one trench and struggle to survive.

Not as good as Deamon but enjoyable
Revisado: 08-07-14
What made the experience of listening to Freedom (TM) the most enjoyable?
Just a very different type of story, definitely 21st century story. I think you have to be into or appreciate the technology of today to enjoy it.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Freedom (TM)?
Loved the ending.
What does Jeff Gurner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He was a good narrator. Sometimes many of the characters sounded the same, especially the angry ones
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No not really. It was good but not on the edge of my seat type of listen. Very solid read though
Any additional comments?
I did not like it as much as the first one but it was still a good sequel. I think there will be more. If you like stories like this with technology, D Space then check it out
