Historia
C.J. Cherryh, one of the most prolific and acclaimed SF writers in the world, delivers the seventh book in her Foreigner series, and the first book in the new Foreigner trilogy - the epic tale of the survivors of a lost spacecraft who crash-land on a planet inhabited by a hostile, sentient race. From its beginnings as a human-alien story of first contact, the Foreigner series has become a true SF odyssey.

Ridiculous circular thinking. Hated the silly back and forth verbiage. What happened to C J?

Historia
The Traitor Host of Horus Lupercal tightens its iron grip on the Palace of Terra, and one by one the walls and bastions begin to crumple and collapse. Rogal Dorn, Praetorian of Terra, redoubles his efforts to keep the relentless enemy at bay, but his forces are vastly outnumbered and hopelessly outgunned. Dorn simply cannot defend everything. Any chance of survival now requires sacrifice, but what battles dare he lose so that others can be won? Is there one tactical stroke, one crucial combat, that could turn the tide forever and win the war outright?

Fantastic performances but bad history!
Revisado: 07-20-20
Falcus Kibre didn't die on Terra. He initiated finding Abaddon and the Vengeful Spirit 10,000 years AFTER the siege, (now this has become a conflicting lore. Thanks , Dan ) and the 3rd with Telemachon Lyras did not take part in the siege; instead they raided the planet for slaves and supplies. (Black Legion book). I just wish the errors were not there, otherwise, I liked the book. Dan Abnet has been writing Warhammer lore for years and this has egregious mistakes.

Historia
Bren Cameron, acting as the representative of the atevi's political leader, Tabini-aiji, as well as translator between humans and atevi, has undertaken a mission to the human enclave of Mospheira. Both his presence on the island and his absence from the continent have stirred old enemies to realize new opportunities. Old hatreds. Old grudges. Old ambitions. The situation has strengthened the determination of power-seekers on both sides of the strait. Bren knows most of them very well, but not all of them well enough.

Boring

Don’t bother with this one or the last three books in this series. Every character struggles with circular reasoning throughout every chapter. It becomes dreary, annoying and a waste of tine.

Yet the Emperor's Champion and his Black Templars stand guard at the gates of Hell, and Sigismund has waited centuries to face Abaddon in battle.

Historia
Among the Space Wolves there are as many sagas as there are warriors. Though none quite like that of Lukas the Trickster. Renowned and reviled in equal measure, the Jackalwolf has ever stood apart from his brothers, passed from pack to pack by embittered Wolf Lords. But as a new enemy invades the icy reaches of Fenris at the height of the Helwinter, Lukas finds himself facing a foe who may rival even his legendary cunning - the drukhari corsair, Duke Sliscus.

Well written, not crazy about the narrator
Revisado: 05-07-18
I got to chapter 7, and could not listen anymore. The narrator has a quality to his voice that is jerky and I find myself focusing on that instead of the storyline. Tried to return but for some reason this book was not eligible. I’m stuck with it

Historia
X Minus One was a half-hour science fiction radio series broadcast from April 24, 1955 to January 9, 1958 in various timeslots on NBC. Initially a revival of NBC's Dimension X (1950-51), X Minus One is widely considered among the finest science fiction dramas ever produced for radio. The first 15 episodes were new versions of Dimension X episodes, but the remainder were adaptations by NBC staff writers, including Ernest Kinoy and George Lefferts, of newly published science fiction stories.

This story has so many rewinds that the book would have been half as long if they were taken out. Every time a new character comes on scene the reader has to suffer through yet another explanation of events. Very tiresome.

Historia
The year is 2380. The Intersolar Commonwealth, a sphere of stars some 400 light-years in diameter, contains more than 600 worlds, interconnected by a web of transport "tunnels" known as wormholes. At the farthest edge of the Commonwealth, astronomer Dudley Bose observes the impossible: Over 1,000 light-years away, a star...vanishes. It does not go supernova. It does not collapse into a black hole. It simply disappears.

How could the performance have been better?
The reader begins his sentences loudly , then fades and speeds up half way through. It gets maddening after a few chapters.

Awful narrator!
Revisado: 01-04-12
Would you listen to Arms of Nemesis again? Why?
No. Harrison is horrible. Had I noticed who was reading before I spent the credits I never would have downloaded this book.
What didn’t you like about Scott Harrison’s performance?
Dead, dead, dead voice. He has one tone and its boring.
