Historia
I played all those cool video games. I watched all those movies. I even read the books. In most of 'em, the hero shoots the bad guys, drives a sweet car, never gets hungry, and always seems to get laid by the end. Yeah. Whatever. I gotta be straight with you about why I wrote this journal, and it comes down to one thing, the apocalypse kinda sucks. It doesn’t meet my expectations at all.

What a Waste of Time
Revisado: 12-15-21
This book was a Colossal waste of time!!! It started out REALLY good and you was in the edge of your seat and it mad me laugh and I related to his overall accecment of life. But then just as you think the story will develop it just turns into a bitching fest about his crapy life. And just when you think it wont get any worse the ending is one of the worst I have read in a long time, like the author just quit and was tired of writing at first I just thought there was another chapter or maybe there is another book but no just a crapy ending . Dont bother wasting a good credit on this junk.

Half a good book
Revisado: 12-03-21
This was a good book for about half of it.
The author tried to wrap up all the loose ends so fast it made little sense. Then it got really weird and unfortunately it got wrapped up in today's politics. Really naming a U.S. Navy carrier the Donald J Trump?? And it seems like it is really easy to just change the constitution to suit your needs.
And at the end of the war the only thing the victors where concerned with was limiting space travel.
It is worth the read just dont expect much at the end

Good book and worthy of your time
Revisado: 11-23-21
Good book and lots of action but a few chapters of just Blah, blah, blah. The president is just whining about past administrations and how he is the only one who can fix it(sounds familiar??) But thankfully it's only a few chapters and easy to skip without missing anything. overall a great second book.

Historia
In the not-too-distant future, the United States loses its status as a world Superpower. With the military cut to a barebones level and American leaders focused solely on the nation's internal struggles, the door will open for new powers to emerge on the world stage. In the wake of this power vacuum, China and Russia begin to flex their military muscles and expand their dominance in the world. They have the most up-to-date technological innovations ready for battle: railguns, unmanned drone tank vehicles, exoskeleton suits, and cyber warfare.

Good story
Revisado: 11-18-21
Cant help but notice the president is a business man from florida who thinks he has all the answers. (Sound familiar??) But unlike the person I am thinking of this president does have good ideas but the almost dog like loyalty he demands is kind of sick. But if you ignore this fact the book does have Alot of action just try to get past a certain point in this book and when you get there you will know what I mean. Stick with it the last few chapters are really action packed and well worth your time

Great book horrible narration
Revisado: 07-16-21
I remember this book from high school and loved it.
But the narrator was just horrible, boring voice and dead pan performance. This book was written in the 50's and the attitudes reflect the times. I just wish someone else was chosen to narrate.

Historia
Storming the Gap: First Strike reveals the explosive origins of the Third World War and delves into the opening salvos of the conflict between NATO and the Warsaw Pact in a world where the Cold War turns hot in 1985. This epic story is told from a range of viewpoints - through the eyes of the decision-makers in Washington as well as the tankers and infantry fighting through hills and towns of southern Germany.

Agree with other reviews
Revisado: 03-18-21
I agree with the other reviews, the book is full of fluff to extend the story. It was still worth buying and listening to. The narrator is excellent. I reccomend this to all.

Great Story But Weak and disappointing ending
Revisado: 08-30-19
Great Story very original but I thought the writer couldn't find a way to end it. Was sad to finish this book and wanted more. Wish the ending was as good and original as the whole book was. But it should not deter you from buying and reading it

Third Book Hard to Read
Revisado: 08-09-19
Third Book was a Waste of time and seemed like a money grab. Was slow and not very interesting. Too many interviews on alien planet. But the worst of it was Eva. At first she had a bad Puerto Rican accent as a kid and 9 years later she a Real bad New York city accent for no reason at all. No real plot or real direction of this book. Sad really because first 2 books had alot of action and intrigue.
