Historia
Emily Craig has been a witness to history, helping to seek justice for thousands of murder victims, both famous and unknown. It’s a personal story that you won’t soon forget. Emily first became intrigued by forensics work when, as a respected medical illustrator, she was called in by the local police to create a model of a murder victim’s face. Her fascination with that case led to a dramatic midlife career change: She would go back to school to become a forensic anthropologist - and one of the most respected and best-known “bone hunters” in the nation.

Seriously True Crime, from the inside.
Revisado: 06-06-24
I was unsure if I'd care for this book. Many authors make things difficult to understand and are very clinical. Others are too unbelievable. This shows a wonderful human being with so many accomplishments, willing to share the scary bits, but also the reward at the end. The narrator does a wonderful job bringing it to life. One can picture the looks she gets, and gives, before entering some "mostly safe" places to recover bodies, or parts thereof. seriously worth the listen.

Millions of people visit xkcd.com each week to read Randall Munroe's iconic webcomic. His stick-figure drawings about science, technology, language, and love have a large and passionate following. Fans of xkcd ask Munroe a lot of strange questions. What if you tried to hit a baseball pitched at 90 percent of the speed of light? How fast can you hit a speed bump while driving and live? If there were a robot apocalypse, how long would humanity last?

perfect narrator for this book!
Revisado: 04-29-24
Honestly, I couldn't have picked a better narrator for this book. Will Wheaton really added the perfect "something extra". I wasn't sure I would like a book of this genre, but decided to give it a shot. So glad I did! You won't regret it!

Historia
Former English professor Cat Latimer is back in Colorado, hosting writers' retreats in the big blue Victorian she's inherited, much to her surprise, from none other than her carousing ex-husband. Now it's an authors' getaway, but Cat won't let anyone get away with murder. The bed-and-breakfast is open for business, and best-selling author Tom Cook is among its first guests. Cat doesn't know why he came all the way from New York, but she's glad to have him among the quirkier - and far less famous - attendees.

I wasn't sure I'd get far, as the narrator is a bit, stilted? The reading didn't flow the way I'm accustomed to, but it was well worth sticking it out. I look forward to Book 2.

love this serie!
Revisado: 05-05-23
I think this is book 16 & I can't wait for the next one. I have even dug out an old needlework book that I haven't looked at in ages. It's also fascinating that it's not usually the person I might think it is. I don't see a pattern to be able to pick the guilty out quickly. A true delight! (Beginners - start with the first book. It's worth it!)

Thanks to this narrator, this book is fabulous! The twists & turns kept me on my toes, and the characters grow with each new book. One feels like they are old friends. I wonder if Minnesota had more visitors after these books were published? The areas are described so well, it makes one want to see it all in person.

Getting harder to listen to.
Revisado: 04-29-23
Once again, this narrator lends little to no life to the book. Other reviews say the same thing. If I wasn't so invested in the series, I would completely give up. I'm so glad this wasn't the first narrator, or I would have missed out on this wonderful series & gotten to know the charming characters.

great story!
Revisado: 04-28-23
The narrator is only slightly better with this book than the last one. The twists & turns of the story are not quite as good as earlier books in the series, but still a delight. If the narrator had less of a monotone, it would improve greatly.
