Historia
Wayne Castine was found brutally murdered and the murderer remains at large. Castine, a suspected child predator, was killed in Brattleboro where he was involved with a tangled network of an extended family living in a local trailer park. Any member of the clan would have had the opportunity to kill him, and, as he was involved with both the mother and her 12 year old daughter, reason to commit the murder.

Terrible Narration.

it's not that he's like a bad narrator, but the voices he gives changes the perceived personalities of the characters and breaks that connection and endearment that Tom had established and nurtured. I mean, Joe went from sounding like a wise older man, to sounding like Stan from American Dad. NOT COOL.

Not at all like the others Audible has in its library. it jumps around too much, important characters from Victorias life are nonexistent and not even referenced. Victoria is hardly even the main character and is not doing any actual sleuthing that endeared her as a character. Not a fan of this one at all.

Meh.

I really enjoyed Pandian's Accidental Alchemist series so I thought I would like this one too. I was wrong. The characters aren't endearing and the story is a bit all over the place. Not a fan of this one.

Love the suspense

Highly recommend if you enjoy murder mysteries. The added plus is Jan Maxwell really brings the story to life! I love listening to Jan as she builds each character their own personality. She is by far my favorite performer/ storyteller.
