Better if author kept political jabs out
Revisado: 11-16-20
The story was pretty good;a little thin! Politics had no place in the story! Probably annoying to loyal readers like me!

Not worth your time!
Revisado: 08-19-20
Oh my! If you are from Texas, this is a painful listen! Please pronounce our landmarks and towns properly! Can’t even give 1 star for performance but probably not reader’s fault!

Really weak premise
Revisado: 05-11-15
Book was ok but end and premise behind bad guy really weak. 65 chapters for that?? I was disappointed. His other books are much better.

really bad .. no plot no drama no story
Revisado: 09-19-12
What disappointed you about 16 Lighthouse Road?
i usually don't write reviews, but seriously, i waited 13 hours for something to happen. several plot lines never resolved at all. there was no excitement or drama. the characters were flat, and hard to even care about. i just don't see why this book received so many stars!
What do you think your next listen will be?
i have downloaded war brides..our next book club selection
How did the narrator detract from the book?
her voice was way to perky, and the "phone" conversations sounded like they were in a tunnel.. yuk!
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
disappointment that i wasted a credit!
Any additional comments?
if i need to read additional novels to "get it", too bad! i have actually downloaded the new book but unless i am desperate will not listen to it!

Historia
An innocent man is about to be executed. Only a guilty man can save him. Travis Boyette is such a man. In 1998, in the small East Texas city of Sloan, he abducted, raped, and strangled a popular high-school cheerleader. He buried her body so that it would never be found, then watched in amazement as police and prosecutors arrested and convicted Donté Drumm, a local football star, and marched him off to death row.

very politically motivated
Revisado: 01-26-11
As a Texan, I felt the majority of this book was very offensive. It gave the impression that every person on death row is innocent. I am confident this is not the case. Grisham's other books are much better. I would skip this one.

Historia
Caitlin Cavanaugh likes being in charge. Maybe that's why she's an FBI special agent. Her latest assignment: Stop a violent madman in Somersett, South Carolina. But even more challenging is working with former Navy SEAL Quinn McKade, who - though Cait would never admit it - makes her feel deliciously out of control.

The Worst Ever! Would not even give it a star!
Revisado: 07-12-09
I normally don't write reviews, but this time it was a must. This was really the worst book I have ever listened to! If you are southern, please do not get it. The accents are horrible. If you are from north of the Mason Dixon Line, please don't think we all sound like that! Plot was terrible! Broke all the rules for a mystery..never giving the reader enough clues to figure out "who dun it". Please don't waste your $.
