For nearly a century, the Justified have been searching for gifted children to help prevent the return of the pulse. Until recently, they thought they were the only ones. Jane Kamali and her telekinetic protégé, Esa, now 17, barely managed to claim victory against a Cyn - a being of pure energy - hell bent on hunting down the gifted. Now, they face an army. Revisado: 04-21-25
I finished this series about 1 year ago. but I still find my self thinking back on it..it was just such a fun adventure I'm sad there is not more. I feel life there is more to explore and learn about this crazy universe

The misfit crew of HMSS Daring are on a covert mission to dismantle a sprawling pirate network threatening the empire in this enthralling second Blackwood & Virtue novel - a thrilling, action-packed blend of the military sea adventures of Patrick O’Brian’s Master and Commander series with Jim Butcher’s sci-fi Cinder Spires novels.

an ice cream like book
Revisado: 10-24-20
this book was like ice cream. sweet, fun, a good treat. it doesn't make you a stronger person it doesn't challenge you its just a fun book!!
I have one quible.... the camera.... wrenched me from this world so fast. I mean come on. they have screens and are able to send messages across space but they don't have Cameras... kinda a bad plot point.
that's my only big complaint other wise was such a fun listen I got through it in a single sitting

Historia
The Darshik war machine is flagging, but the war is far from over. Even as an exhausted Federation military tenses up for a counterattack after repelling the last Darshik invasion, reports are coming in of a new, more powerful class of ship that's striking deep into Terran space. Captain Jackson Wolfe has been given the fleet's newest, most advanced destroyer and tasked with eliminating this new threat before it can claim any more human lives. What he finds, however, is immeasurably more dangerous than just some new class of starship....

enjoyed every hour
Revisado: 04-07-19
Honestly these books are by no means the greatest books ever written. They are full of cheap tricks and tired old tropes. But who the hell cares. They supplied me with hours upon hours of entertainment. I found my self on the edge of my seat on each battle, not to mention the few good leadership lessons. The universe is fleshed out and the characters are likeable and just enough of them to keep things interesting. loved this series and if I could find the author I'd tell it to his face
