I was lucky to not have listened to any of the dungeon fairy series so when this book arrived in that dimension (about 19 hours from the end of this) I immediately switched to the dungeon fairy series.. it made for a very engaging segway

Great start then everyone became idiots

I really enjoyed the first 20 hours .. then suddenly everyone lost all common sense.. repeatedly falling into traps no serious efforts to avoid unnecessary deaths. In the beginning it was acceptable to be drawn into traps.. but come on LEARN from the mistakes. By the time I got to the last 10 hours I was skipping forward and running at 2x speed. The performance was pretty good.

I wanted a series that would take a while to get through. I liked the concept behind the books. I found the narrator comfortable and familiar. Then, after the millionth time of the Crack tactician from the late 23rd century, refuses.. or possibly worse, deliberately ignores the evidence of Simon being a time traveler and how others miraculously survive the destruction of one of the aliens' toys. He CONCLUDES he has eliminated his arch nemesis. I would have felt the need to p/u the next set if Thatcher had said, "I need to see the body." or something to that affect. That last book - just an awful ending.
