A beautiful book
Revisado: 01-28-22
I cannot tell you how much I adore this book.
Little "about me" before this review. I am not a very religious person, and I am very picky about my books. I love hearing about the love people have for their faith, however.
Now, for the review. This book is amazingly beautiful. The times that religion was placed into the book was written in such a way that made me happy and made me understand how close the author is to her faith.
The way she writes this story is very tactful and the book never feels like its dragging on.
I have listened to this book three times and read the physical copy once. You could say I am a BIG FAN.
I know it isn't for everyone, but if you check out the sample and are thinking about getting the book, please stop thinking and get yourself this beautiful tome in whatever format you prefer.

Meh
Revisado: 10-17-21
I struggled with the start of the book, the main character was not very relatable and I found her to be very rude. Can we not fat-shame right at the start of the book? You can show a character is a jerk without fat shaming. This character 100% has mental issues and it's not even fun. And she keeps on with the fat-shaming too. Its really something else, all the people in the world who think fat automatically means unhealthy.

A love/hate book
Revisado: 10-16-21
This book took me on an emotional journey! The first few chapters I couldn't help but dislike nearly everyone. It was a bit rough, but my bestie recommended it to me and she always has a good reason for recommending me books. 'Cause of that I ended up toughing it out and I am so glad I did because once it hit a certain point I laughed and cried and cheered and was just so invested in the story.

Historia
Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

Thriller as boring as watching paint dry
Revisado: 10-16-21
This is just a book about people in a psych ward. It's slow, boring, makes little sense, and has no characters I actual find myself caring about or relating to.

Really made me think.
Revisado: 08-11-21
First off, great narrator.
Possible spoilers:
This book has a main character that has an incredibly believable reaction to time travel. Lots of other TT books feature characters that just kinda accept it or have done it before? Anyway, it was really good.
The book made me really think and reflect on decisions I had made in my life and if I would change things if I had a chance to go back. The way the world changed was interesting.

Historia
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision.

Main character makes flurry of horrid decisions
Revisado: 08-11-21
You wanna get really frustrated at a main character for hours on end? This book is for you! I couldn't finish it, this character was one I had negative care for. Just so annoying. Not believable reactions to what happened and the start of the book was the most depressing and potentially triggering with no warning as to what was going to be explained.

I gotta say, I'm writing this review months after listening. This was a great book. Seemed rather comical if you come at it with that mindset.

Historia
Now, the world's oldest humor magazine presents a comedy act that has already begun to get national attention after starting as an underground hit. It's filled with side-splitting skits that keep you laughing every second of the way. Whether spoofing radio call-in shows ("Doctor Sensitive"), TV courtroom dramas ("Madison"), or the hilarious Battle of Normandy ("Girls Gone Wild, 1945"), the Lampoon keeps the jokes coming and fills each track with punch lines you can't help but repeat to your friends.

Lots of "shock factor" type jokes.
Revisado: 07-11-21
The jokes are both funny and unfunny. Somewhat dated. Some jokes are there as a sorta shock factor. Its not inherently bad. Voices are kinda fun. Recording sounds a bit budget tho. That's probably the point. Try the sample and check it out only if you think you wont be upset by really odd jokes.

Historia
When you’re desperate for money, searching for a little adventure, and aren’t the most responsible person in the world, you can end up doing some outrageous things. Which is how Andrew Mayhem, a married father of two, ends up accepting $20,000 to find a key - a key buried with a body in a shallow grave. But what he finds in the grave isn’t quite what he expected, and what begins as a simple evening of morally questionable manual labor turns into a really good way to die.

Tried to get through it.
Revisado: 05-23-21
This book started out so strong, and I was so excited. But it quickly turned into what I felt like was the author trying to be funny/quirky every single sentence. What started as funny became annoying. Its a shame because the kind of humor in the book is really good, its just supremely overused.
If you have the same problem, or even if you really liked this book, also go try "Tales From The Gas Station". I found that was a bit more thoughtful with the comedic moments while still being a strange horror/thriller title.
