so so and pretty good books 1-6

I found the story to be interesting. Good story telling, but some basic facts off the mark (eg, a Glock17 uses magazines not clips) I found distracting and occasional illogical scenarios or lack of depth of discussion amongst the characters. the story could have walk deeper in to the moral conflict of a well ordered society vs the new found chaos. if young ppl are reading, this scenario allows them to see that projecting today's moral boundaries on past society is not black and white. Right and wrong don't change but the application is not an easy answer. over all good storys.

incoherent

I used to listen to HH on the 90's. This was a disappointment. It was a vendetta against theologians with whom he disagrees, it bounced around and hard to follow a coherent msg. He skippped important chapters of Rev (unknown why). I am asking for my money back. oh and the speaking was horrible, I had to put the speed to 1.25 inorder not to fall asleep.

lacks reality of geopolitics.

the characters and personal relationship were entertaining but the idea that North Korea does anything without Xi's approval is foolish. post apocalyptic event only impacting the US. then the author proposes that domestic White Supremacists are the biggest threat to restoring civilization and China is our greatest ally. hell that's, well silly. Tom Clancy did his home work to understand realality. He ain't Clancy

painful melodramatic confusion

i finished it with reluctance, owing this accomplishment to finishing what i started. i am not even sure i could explain the story. It was disjointed, making me, the reader struggle to piece the story timeline back together in a coherent flow. Another issue, the author. in an attempt to make the images vivid over used adjectives and adverbs; it was corny at times. The main character wasn't a particularly compelling character, i found him to be indistinguishable from the rest. I wasn't sure if i cared who live or died. The author was good at creating colorful pictures, unfortunately these sometimes were more of a distraction within the story. Sorry for being so negative.

DARK WITH HOPE

Ted has become my favored author. This is one of his darker chiller thrillers, but as always hope is revealed in end. The Good News can’t be overcome.
