Waste of a good scam

Skip this one.
The story is interesting but the podcast is very poorly done. Unnecessarily repetitive. Little to no insight. For example, they could
have explored the religious context that allowed this to happen, or compared this to other similar scams. Hours I won’t get back.

Best audiobook I have listened to

I have been trying to get used to audiobooks and have been having a hard time. This was transformative for me - the writing is lovely as are most of Anne Patchett’s books, but Tom Hanks turned out to be an astounding reader. I so preferred his style to the more neutral voices of many readers I have tried. It was an utter pleasure and felt like someone was reading the story to me specifically.

My review is for the actual download - not for the book (very interesting and a fun read/listen) or the reader (quite good). I am reading the physical book and listening at the same time (great way to make sure I actually finish books in French!) and major sections of the book are just missing. For example, the recording for pages 417 (bottom of page) thru 459 do not appear at the end of Audible’s chapter 10. Chapter 11 is the start of page 460. This has happened several times earlier in the book too. Since this book is analyzing a historic murder case, there wd be no way to follow the twists and turns if 40 crucial pages are left out! I’m hoping Audible can figure out a way to get the full version of the audiobook!
