Annoying female narrator!
Revisado: 02-26-25
I absolutely love the author! The male narrator is great. But Savanna Peachwood is annoying. I’ve read/listened to evey story in the LIB series, and Ms. Peachwoods characters (male and female) all sound the same. A cross between California valley girl and “sex in the city” preppy girl. Also, every single sentence ends with a breathy exhale. As much as I love Melissa Foster’s books but I will no longer buy any audio book that has Savanna Peachwood as the female narrator.

Historia
Rebecca Amber knows what it’s like to lose all hope. That’s why she volunteers to help struggling teens, always taking along her giant, two-hundred-pound lapdog named Lilah. The Bull Mastiff loves the kids almost as much as Rebecca does. When an eerie stranger shows up on the streets with a new drug called Quell, Rebecca will have none of it. Little does she know that interfering with this drug dealer means taking on alien criminals far worse than anything she’s faced before—and they will not hesitate to eliminate her—and her pet.

Annoying female lead.
Revisado: 12-30-24
The female narrator is seriously annoying. She sounds like an AI is reading. The fluctuations of her voice are off. Doesn’t sound like a person would actually speak.

Historia
1941. Audrey Coltrane has always wanted to fly. It's why she implored her father to teach her at the little airfield back home in Texas. It’s why she signed up to train military pilots in Hawaii when the war in Europe began. And it’s why she insists she is not interested in any dream-derailing romantic involvements, even with the disarming Lieutenant James Hart, who fast becomes a friend as treasured as the women with whom she flies. Then one fateful day, she gets caught in the air over Pearl Harbor just as the bombs begin to fall, and suddenly, nowhere feels safe.

Captivating!
Revisado: 07-13-22
I had this book in my library for several months before i decided to open it to read. Oh. My. Goodness!!!! I loved this book! I laughed, I cried, I despaired, I rejoiced right along with the characters! The Flight Girls captivated my attention to the point I hated to pause when I needed to and I couldn’t save it for tomorrow at the end of the work day! I finished it while at home.
But I would suggest ya learn from my waywardness… don’t listen while driving…. I teared up soooo many times!

Historia
When Christof meets a beautiful mechanic on the side of the road, he knows they’re meant to be. His family, however, needs him and his mediation skills in Italy, where decades of secrets and betrayal could cost them everything. His mother is convinced a fiancée would help smooth things over. But he’d be nuts to ask a woman he just met to participate in such a farce. Men always find something about McKenna they want to change - her independence, her success, the grease that clings to her after a satisfying day in the garage.

GOOD but could have GREAT
Revisado: 10-27-20
This story is great as all the books I have read by Ms. Cardello have been. But the audio was a little disappointing. The Romano family of this series are immigrants from Italy to America when the children were young. The line "Learning English as a new language drew us even closer as a family.", or "Gian was an infant when we immigrated", are huge clues that the family as a whole would have an Italian accent ranging from slight (for the children having grown up learning it in school) to very strong (for the parents). The actors reading this book do not (or can not) give the character's the accents. The Male reader gives the father more of a New York/Brooklyn accent even though the setting is New England/Caneticut and Italy. Also one minuet Camilla, Christof's mother has no accent when speaking with her son on the phone but has the accent at the High Tea when spwaking with Queen Dalinda (Weasterly). Very disappointing. So over all the reading was good... But could have GREAT.

Historia
This audiobook is a steamy contemporary romance audiobook. Sinclair Jeffries thought she knew what she was getting into when her zany, gay friend, Jesse Eddington, talked her into portraying his girlfriend during his parent's anniversary party on Huntington Beach. That is, until she met Reed, Jesse's sexy as hell older brother, and ends up getting much more than what she'd bargained for.

ZERO STARS don't waste your $$$ on this audiobook!
Revisado: 12-13-19
I give this audio book of bad review. I've tried to listen to it several times and never make it past the second chapter. Both narrators are horrible! She has an annoying voice and reads the book as if it's some kind of poem and he sounds so bored out of his mind he should be doing something else. Maybe the digital copy or the hard copy would be good but as for the audio... I just can't get past their voices! I had to give this at least one star to place this review but in my opinion ZERO STARS is my rating!
